An old enemy in a new land

It seems an old enemy, The Master, has appeared in Vandlar. I recommend reviewing this dream:

I have had a vision concerning The Master as well as the Time Elemental I accidentally punished and plan to travel to Vandlar in approximately two weeks hence. My primary goal is to see if I can help the Time Elemental, free him of his prison, with the secondary goal of helping the populace defeat or defend against The Master and a tertiary goal of establishing good relations with the merchants of foreign lands.

Are there any willing to travel with me? I suspect that there will also be great opportunities for trade, commerce, and politics!

I have heard of far-off Vandlar, but it seems a ... strange place for the Master to show up. I am skeptical that it is indeed "the Master" as we knew him/her/it, but we can speak of these things in person. For certain reasons I will keep private for the moment, I will join you on this trip. As always, I prefer to travel the mists with at least one other person, as this keeps some modicum of safety should our journey not take us where expected. Will you be able to meet me in Keystone Village in about two weeks' time, and we can leave from there?

Kerjal, if you happen to be in the area, you are more than welcome to join us for the journey as well.

Polare, it does seem a strange place for the Master to show up. My dream was very clear, though, that what I saw was the same Master we faced before, but slightly different from when we last saw him. I will meet you in Keystone Village in approximately two weeks so we can talk more about this and leave from there.

Kerjal, I will see what booze I can bring on such short notice! I assume you are talking about the True Name of the Master? And a Gate in Vandlar?

Would someone please help me get up to speed on "The Master" I would like to be able to provide useful perspective to this.
 
Hold on there Kerjal, if this is the same master I believe your talking about how can he still be alive? I was there when we ran him through.
