April 26, 27 Work Weekend at Faire Play

All,

We will be having an official volunteer work weekend at the Faire Play site on the weekend of Saturday April 26th and Sunday April 27th.

This weekend will concentrate on cleanup and other projects. It will include cleaning, picking up trash, organizing, painting, light construction, landwork and general preparation for the next HQ event.

Goblin Stamp rate is 120 per full day (at least 8 hours). Bonus goblin stamps will be awarded for those that work particularly hard (completely at staff discretion) and your travel distance is taken into consideration when determining bonus goblin stamps.

In addition, if you work at the site for at least 8 hours (not including travel time or hanging out time), you will be eligible for one NPC magic item pick. You will still need to spend goblin stamps for the pick.

It would also be helpful if you could post here if you plan on coming so we can get a head count.

Also, everyone is required to sign a volunteer waiver upon arriving and to comply with all Faire Play volunteer policies (see below).

Thanks,

Scott

I'm going to try to make it up on Sunday we shall see though. I have been invited to a cookout on Saturday by one of my professors for his research group and my advisor's group as well so Sat is a no go. I'll let ya know as soon as I know if I'll be free on Sunday. :)

Heidi and I are heading down to VA tomorrow for a convention so won't be able to help this weekend, but we have a favor to ask.

We had a pair of very nice sleeping bags, kind of burgundy in color with gray insides. We thought we had brought them up on an earlier work weekend this spring and put them in the Healer's Guild but when Heidi showed up last event they weren't there.

We have since searced our basement and other areas of our home and can't find them, so we're pretty certain they must have been brought to the site.

It is likely that some player (or even someone coming for a work weekend) may have thought these were FP property (like the other blankets we donated in all the trunks in the tavern) and used them in their tent or cabin and then didn't return them afterward....

So if you see them this work weekend, please move them back to the Healers Guild and let us know! Thanks...

You can pretty much get up to the site any time Saturday. Dee and I will be there very early.
