Rulebook 2.1: "Arming a Trap requires at least one rank in Tinkering and takes at least 60 seconds. If it takes less than 60 seconds to arm the Trap out-of-game, you must still keep both hands on the Trap and roleplay arming the Trap for the remainder of the 60 seconds. If either hand is removed from the Trap while arming it, or if you are hit by a physical or packet attack, the Trap will be set off, affecting only the person setting the Trap."
If the trap consists of a container, a noisemaker, a pin that is removed to trigger the noise, and a string tied between the pin and another object (<5 ft long to stay within the range of the trap), does the string count as part of the trap for the sake of keep two hands on the trap until the trap is fully armed?
If the device itself can be armed and triggered without the string, can a string be added later (still within the range of the trap and assuming you could accidentally set off the existing trigger while adding the string), or would you have to disarm, then rearm the trap with the piece of string?
I will probably have follow up questions either way.
Thank you.
Edit: Does the two hands rule only apply if the trap takes less than 60 seconds to arm out-of-game? What if the main body of the trap takes <60 seconds, but the main trap + string take >60?
