August Kids Event Wrap-up

Hi all,

Please post your favorite moments of the August Kid's Event, "Monsters and Magic" here.

I'd like to share a couple of my favorite quotes and extend formal thanks to all that made the event happen:

"Do you think that the goblins would benefit from strong leadership?" - Zack

First, thanks to all the kids that came to the event. Your enthusiasm and energy is a wonder to behold. Without you, there wouldn't be a kid's event!

Thanks to all the parents that brought their kids, their nieces and nephews, their kid's friends to share in the fun. Thanks for all their support, chapperoning the kids on modules, running the tavern and even NPCing in a pinch!

"Die already!"-Anon kid chasing a goblin

"Then stop healing me!"-Red-haired goblin

Thanks to all the NPCs that came out to put on a good show for the kids: Marissa, Missy, Kristy and Brian (FT NPCs), as well as Tab, Will, Jill, Barbara, Eric and Brad. Thanks for all your hard work!

"Whatcha eating?" - Orion

"Ground wyvern" - Ambrose

"What's a wyvern?"

"It's a scaley beast, with a poisonous tail"

"Ew"

"It's not so bad once you get used to it. It's like a hot dog."

Thanks to the tavern folk that helped keep the kids fed and hydrated.

Thanks to Tab and Eric for setting up the basement for the kid's module.

And a big thanks go to Eric Stehle for spearheading the effort to get the events scheduled and run. I know my kids really appreciate it!

That sounds like it was awesome! Thanks for posting some of the kid's quotes. They'll always surprise you with what they say. :)
