Kai wakes up, staring at the sky. Her back hurts, and her mouth tastes funny. She looks around, and recognizes her location as a tangle of bushes near the backside of Evo's cabin. She rubs her head, and the word swims. She has a vague memory; talking with Myrdin, and laundry, and the rain. She blinks, wondering if maybe she was not-so-over her last period of Vulpine flu. How long has it been? What has she missed? She staggers off in search of answers.
