Hey, I come I-84 to I-81 every time I come down to HQ. Every time, even at stupid hous of the night, I have to sit in trafic on I-81 because of the contruction. It adds at least an hour to my 7 hour trip every time. Now I know some people know a back route that links up with the interstate so that this can be avaoided, please share.

You could try taking route 11 once you get to Scranton. It doesn't get you past the first big crunch in Scranton but you avoid most of the rest of 81. However, it's one lane most of the way so if you get stuck behind some truck (like has happened to me before) it's a lot longer. Then again, it may be less frustrating than just moving at 5 mph.

From 11, you can follow it all the way north to 706 or you can go west on 6 till it meets 29 and then take that north so you'd be coming to the site from the opposite direction of what we post on the web page, and would turn left at the blindking light instead of right.

There's no really fast way, though. Once the construction gets done, it should be easier.
