Baking Competition

Hello friends!

My name is Violet (purple wearing, arrow slinging, Child of Camulous.) and I'm here to tell you about some plans we at the healer's guild are having for the future. I know some of you out there don't always have the urge to go out and fight, and sometimes it seems like there's plenty of downtime during our adventures....or at least that's how I feel sometimes....

Well after much discussion and brainstorming (and...well, I have to admit after the The Festival of Draconalia, I've kind of gotten hooked on playing games like Balls and Barrels. Thank you Grim!), the Ashbury Healers guild and some of it's members have deciding to provide Tavern entertainment for all!

I'm proud to announce our first competition during our next adventure!

Ashbury Healer's Guild Presents:
Baking Competition!

1st Place: 10 Gold
2nd Place: 5 Gold

All are welcome to join the competition!

For each of our future baking events we will pick a theme and type of baked good.
Given that we are running towards the end of the summer season, our first theme will be "The End of Summer", so bake something that reminds you of your favorite parts of summer, something cooling, or even something you might miss once autumn starts! Be creative!

Entries will be tasted and graded by three judges.
Entries will be graded by both presentation and taste.

After the winners have been chosen, remaining treats will be shared with the tavern-goers!

Competition will be held either late Saturday Night or early on Sunday.

((OOC Note: Since the weekend might run hot. Please keep in mind that fridge space is limited...plan accordingly, or even stay away from things that might not keep well for a night or two.))

(Please remember that fridge space in the main kitchen is for Food Committee and Medical Staff use without the express permission of the Head of Food. Also the kitchen ovens are in use nearly all day and will not be avaliable for use Saturday or Sunday and also require the permission of the Head of Food to avoid schedule conflicts.)

Head of Food Committee

((Sorry for the confusion, I didn't even consider the fact that people would think that they'd be baking on site! To clarify, we want it to be that people who want to compete bake their items at home and bring them to the event. We are recommending you bring items that are not perishable because although we have a fridge in the healers guild, it is pretty small.
Things like cookies or brownies will be best if the weekend is hot, and will not require refrigeration.
If anyone has any questions, please let me know.))
