Hey gang,
Camp Greilick has had some modifications done to the cabins that we normally rent. Effectively it has taken three of the cabins and turned them into "warming huts" and the other three are "bunk cabins". The warming huts have a table/chairs and a woodstove. The bunk cabins have bunk bed space for eight, table and chairs. These modifications are due to state regulations and license issues that the camp has had to contend with as of late. After looking into alternatives, Alliance Traverse has decided to continue with our remaining two events for the year at camp Greilick. With this in mind, please bring extra bedding if you are planning on staying in a bunk house, or an air matress (or the like) for the warming huts.
We are also asking, that if anyone has a propane heater(s) please contact either Bev or myself if you are willing to loan them to the chapter for these next two events. Extra Gobbies for those who help us with the warmth situation. We, as a chapter, have endured through many stumbling blocks in our years of operation and we view this as meerly an annoyance that we can easily contend with if we are all understanding and help "pitch in" for the cause.
As for after this season: We are currently stepping up our efforts in the dream of a permanent home for our chapter. We are also looking into alternative rental spaces and other options for next season. If anyone has advice or some skill/knowledge that might help us in this endeavor, fell free to contact me.
Thank every one for your understanding.
