Cabins!

It's official. We have 3 PC cabins up on site. I will be posting pictures sometimes this week.

As far as reserving them for the weekends is concerned, this will be decided by HQ staff. The decision of the General Manager (me) is final.

Several things will be taken into account when reserving a cabin.

Being pre-reged obviously will be taken into account. But the cabins will be primarily for larger groups at these point, with individuals or groups of 2 or 3 using the common room.

Another thing that will get you up on the priority list is if you've come up to work weekends and helped out. For example, there were 3 people that were up there this weekend that also have a group of six or seven and have been to a lot of work weekends. One of the cabins has been reserved for this group.

Two of the cabins are spoken for right now. One is still open. Who gets it will be decided at the event. If you have a group of 6 or more you are more likely to get it. If you have a group and are pre-reged, you are even more likely to get it. If you have a group, pre-reged and have been to work weekends, odds are even better.

Please note, all cabins are now spoken for. There is still plenty of room in the common area and that will pretty much be first come first serve. If you desire privacy, a tent is probably your best bet.

NPCs, as always are welcome to sleep in NPC camp. Be forewarned there are no beds at this time in NPC camp. You might want to bring a small tent that doesn't need to be staked down for privacy's sake.

Let me just add that it is our goal to acquire more cabins this year. A lot of that depends on having big events with lots of players so that we can make enough money to buy them (they are not cheap, especially to make them medieval-looking). So the more you play, the better the chance that we can get more cabins this year!

Just a note on Eric's post. The cabins are not yet medieval looking. That's going to take some finishing work. However they look good and more medieval already than anywhere we've played. They have round topped doors and faux slate roofs. We plan on "tudorizing" them with stucco siding and faux beams. They are good looking cabins off the bat though.

We also plan on insulating them, putting electricity in them, and finishing the insides as well (they are open to the studs currently).

All this takes time and money. Hopefully you are all finding it exciting watching the site progress. I know I am. I was re-inspired by being up there last weekend. Re-inspired, tired and muddy, heh.

As I said, I'll post pics later in the week.
