Camp Cutter Weekend Event: November 16-18 2012

Fifteen years had passed since the newly claimed lands had been cleansed of their taint. The eight Lords, no longer fettered by hereditary rules and boundaries, were free to argue amongst themselves over the division of the new territories. As the last frontiers were being pacified and made habitable a subtle shift in the magical energies, lasting barely long enough to be noticed, occurred in the distance.

The great lord paced around the perimeter of the room in regular, even steps. The disturbance had been small but notable, both strange and familiar. More intriguing was the spark of power that had come with it, glowing in the distance like the sun itself. The lord pondered this opportunity and how best to capitalize on it. He knew that he needed to act swiftly or else lose this power to his rivals. He also knew that if he was not cautious his rivals might discover him, and while one group was likely to leave him be for now, the others would surely attempt to destroy him given the opportunity.

Truly, what he needed was more information. Whatever this beacon was would undoubtably provide him new power in the ever continuing struggle for land and resources. But power of that flavor needed to be cultivated and harvested carefully. To act recklessly, as his foes were like to do, would destroy the power source before gaining optimal use of it.

Please see Logistics and You for more information on what is required to complete your pre-registration and remember that you will need to bring all related tags to logistics, or logistics will not be able to check you in. This includes magic item tags, spell and production books, and workshop tags. Any magic items being brought to game not pre-registered or checked in at logistics on opening night will not be able to be used for that weekend.

When you arrive:
When you arrive on site please see a staff member before unloading and setting up. We are doing a few things differently than normal this weekend and will have specific instructions regarding setup and check-in.

Food:
Our meal plan for PCs costs $20 for the weekend. You MUST pre-register in order to buy into the meal plan. The pre-registration interface has an option to both be included and let us know about any dietary restrictions. There is an additional cost of 2 silver per meal in game to the kitchen staff (and if you can't pay that, talk to them about helping out in the kitchen.) Water will be available to everyone for free at all times. Other drinks may be available for a small in game charge. We really need Cast/Crew to pre-register for the event as well so that we can estimate food needs; in the event we run short Cast/Crew that pre-register will be fed before those who do not. A menu will be posted in the next couple of days.

Sleeping Arrangements
Sleeping arrangements for this weekend will be different than usual. We have four eight-bed cabins available for PC use. To request a cabin please email asf@maddjinn.com. Priority will be given to groups and to out-of-state visitors without other sleeping arrangements. If you are requesting a cabin for a group please have everyone in your group preregister before submitting your request. Due to the limited sleeping space for this weekend we will be filling any unclaimed beds Friday night on a first-come, first-served basis.

If the cabins fill up or if you prefer to sleep elsewhere, there will be campsites and perma-tents available. In the case of camping-unfriendly weather we may open up additional beds, but do not plan on it. Remember to bring extra bedding if you are using the perma-tents; the cots are comfortable but not particularly insulating.

Pre-registration ends this week.

If you plan to NPC and have not already, please also pre-register.

Also, if you're looking to maybe be a bit more of a career NPC than just for this event, we have a request up on our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/alliancesf/ looking for responses, and we'd really really appreciate it if you'd respond! We have great things in store for people who want to commit!

Preregistration for this event is most definitely now closed. I will be updating the lists as I coordinate some more information and get myself sorted before the event.
