Can one choose not to refit Arcane Armor and wear physical armor?
It is clear from the intent that you can not wear arcane until its beaten and then swap to physical without having to refit; and that while arcane is active physical armor provides no defense. This came up in one of the pre-2.0 threads, and it was said that until you chose to refit the Arcane Armor, normal armor worked. And that you could choose which you refit. And that you were not forced to use beneficial rituals (like Arcane Armor).
For a slightly more complex example, I have a 15 point suit of spirit locked arcane, and a 35 point suit of chainmail.
Could I choose at the beginning of the event to get no benefit from the arcane, and just wear the chainmail; only refitting the physical armor?
Could I wear the arcane until it was beaten through, and then refit the chainmail to get 35 armor?
