Castle Event Clarifications.

We'll be providing a list of these and going over them during PC talk, but here is a heads up of some things we want to make sure people know about the upcoming event.

First up the one LCO effect for this event.

We've Used this in the past, and they are making a come back for this event!.

Disruption - For this particular event, this will always be an arcane delivery, either by packet or voice. In either case the only defenses are Dodge, Being in a prison/behind a ward or circle. Or Cloak/Bane Protection/Enhancement. When hit with disruption it prevents the use of ANY magic from Magic items or memory for 60 seconds. This means arcane armor is breached and cannot be refit until the duration ends. The only exception is Spirit Link/Locks will continue to function as normal. Disruption has no effect on any production items and they may be used as normal. This effect will also drop all current spells/effects on the target, and suppress any spell crafted or ritual level effects.

Clarifications for the "Shade Fight" - Which will start when you travel via unicorn pool.

The Artifact Circle - This unique circle will be properly phys repped at a particular location. Anyone seeing the circle will immediately know the following.

1.) Protection against corrupt - For some reason this circle fully prevents any corrupt from approaching it, nor attacking towards it. (There will be no opportunity to fight from within the circle)

2.) The Circle has all the properties of a permanent Earth AND Celestial circle. Anyone can become invested for 5 days by expending any one level 9 spell of either school from memory. Anyone invested may both begin resurrections AND identify items. This circle counts as NEITHER school for ritual casting. (and thus cannot be used for such)

3.) A resurrection bag and book will be provided to allow for resurrections to be held without a PLOT marshall, but a rules marshal must be present for pulling before a character can reform.

4.) To avoid confusion, You may >>NOT<< start your own resurrection, and must have someone there to begin it.

5.) If you are driving a celestial guild golem and you crumble, the nature of the area will cause your physical body to "Snap back" to the this circle (with any and all gear) This will take as long as it takes you to walk out of game to the circle.

The Location - The location of the shade fight on Saturday will be place an extreme distance from town/existing circles. This means that should your character choose not to resurrect in the local circle it's clear in game that it will likely be about two years before your spirit can walk home. As an OOG clarification should you choose to do that there will be an effect to ensure your character is available for use before your next event. But this should be an In Game consideration.
 
Clarification Request : Does Disruption affect scrolls, potions, or alchemy? Does it remove active protectives, regardless of how they were gained?

No to the first part, yes to the second

Disruption will disable Wands and suppress any high magic for the 60 second duration this includes cloaks and banes (unless one is used to defend against the effect in the first place). In the case this drops your max body below your current total, these points will be temporary (as per bless) (so you don't "take damage" from disruption)

Functionally none, if it's on you, it's suppressed, if it's not on you, it's not suppressed. Bottles will in all cases function as normal.

Is the Artifact Circle safe for Barbarians/Biatas? Is it linked to the Disjunction network (if we can even sense that right now)?

The Artifact circle is Artifact magic and thus not celestial, so it's safe for those irritated by such. Like all circles at the moment, you are unable to sense/touch the disjunction network due to the over all effect.

And Render Indestructible, I should hope? ;)
 
Correct, disruption will not effect an items rendered status regardless of source.
 
Methran items that mimic a magic effect will not function. Those that provide a resist type of effect when hit, still will.
 
Can disruption be identified by healing arts? Can it be cured early by a dispell or purify?

No and no, you must wait out the full 60 seconds if affected.
