Closer Faves

Thank you plot and npcs! I was kept busy and entertained all event. Very well coordinated.

Everyone that came and enjoyed themselves Friday evening. I appreciate how many people chose to participate.

Vow of poverty and magical box. Congrats to our new house treasurer.

My pretty gold bag gift :D the bracers are nice too.

Bonfire. I love bonfires. Definately need to do it more often!

Equinox. Conversing with you was unexpected and intriguing. I didn't get to hug you Saturday night!

Getting in to a 3 on 1 debate, in which I spend most of the time in a heated discussion with Yngvin. Him checking in with me in the morning to make sure I don't hate him.

Yngvin I hate you. Not only do you stick me in a cave full of giant spiders... you bring home an egg sack? WTF

Shiny's list.

My new army.

Being thrown under the bus. Not even a suprise. At least yell train next time.

The druid. Ouch. I don't think I have ever been that completely drained so quickly after remem. I didn't think we were going to make it. And I love the plot twists. All of them. What a tangled web we weave.

BOOM. If we had been 1 minute faster...

Jade/Amy. The devastation and tears.

Being inspired to regain my dodges. Fighting barbarians while insanely tapped and using one shots to not crumble. Then getting a renew...

Seeing James coming down the path, going to him to welcome Yngvin back, and being hit with the physical web. Really. More spiders? FML

Honor. And the look on Radi's face when he realizes what I did.

Escorting the King. Who is not immune to spiders. He seriously needs to hire an exterminator.

I always love and hate closers. Love it for the season finale for the big plot turns and twists. Hate it because it means months before the next event. I have to give mad kudos to our plot team, this is the first season of alliance that I have felt emotional connected to characters and plots. It startles me still to experience different emotons in Raynn's mind set; and I love it.

-Ragelands endurance mod. It was tuned really good that we were spent afterwards and after spending the whole season just doing one of the areas at time and this time having to do them all in the same event.

-Mediation spot hunting. Never mind the snow or rain. Trick was finding a isolated spot to meditate. And then finding a spot that is perfect.

-Tax collecting? Probably way to compassionate for this task, but eye opening to domestic flaws within the kingdom in it's current state.

-Being consulted with by the King regarding two different treaties. I know what I am doing this winter.

- The 1 2 3 Punch! Magi Tower BOOM! King and Royals and Ambassadors from foreign nations splat. Oh and the Barbarians are coming, which after the first two felt minor in comparison. Feeling depressed and anger (IG) cause having stock in both the Tower of Magi and amongst the ambassadors were Biata I had personally invite to make an alliance with our kingdom.

-Roleplaying digging through rubble of the Tower to attempt to save lives. Guess we did save one.

-King Clous and Duchess Savil tearing over the permanent death of Duchess Cotton....

-... Only to return to see the King smiling and laughing; and how furious that made Raynn (who was still upset from the events not even hours old).

-Rook to me: "Funny thing was last market you were anti war and I pro war. Now your pro war and I'm anti war. What gives?" I love our dynamic, it feels soooo much like we are two sides of the same Vanguard coin.

-Trying to pry gossip out of Duchess Savil with mixed success.

-Juggling future problems and impacts.

MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT OF THE EVENT:
PC based immersion breaking. It was bad this weekend that it really bugged me a lot trying to twist in back into game. "When are the barbarians coming?" "It might be awhile, they have 4 npcs and two mods before that" Could have easily been spun into "Scouts report that the Barbarian forces are moving slower then originally thought, it could be hours yet before they arrive."

I have to say that I had a great time for a closer despite the efforts of the weather to bring things down.

I enjoyed the explosion, one two punch, the fight and subsequent role-play with the Outcast, but most of all I enjoyed the barbarian fight at the end.

Through the event the town seemed pretty divided with everyone doing their own thing, sitting apart, and so on. This was not always the case of course, and it wasn't truly a bad thing. For me though the fun kicked in when we all banded together to stand up to the barbarians. Everyone got a piece of the action, everyone was helpful fighting back. We came together and we won. It was great.

I just wanted to thank Plot and the Players together for this great closer.

Cheers everyone, see you next year.

This was a wonderfully fun event, on the PC and NPC side. It tears me apart to know I won't get to be Cena until next spring, but I suppose I'll have to just bug Thetford about IBGA's instead.

In no particular order:
  • The feast! It was fun to have a smallish party with food and a gift exchange, plus it was great to have a meal on Friday instead of carrying munchies around all night.
  • The dark unicorn showing up to the feast.
  • The dark unicorn touching Shar and Nom on his way out, but then touching me and both of us being surprised by his touch not hurting me. I wasn't expecting to have anything specific to Cena come up like that, so that was really cool.
  • Winning at dragon poker, and laughing at Foss as he lost more and more money to the pot.
  • The Kin "trainer". Rob did a great job with the character, I'm so glad I got to be there when it happened so Cena could freak out about it. She made sure a knight was between herself and the trainer so she didn't end up trying to do horribly illegal things to him and get herself in trouble. It was very interesting to get to experience that side of her personality, since it hadn't really come up until this weekend.
  • The emotional turmoil of the explosion, the nobles, and the barbarians. It was interesting to see everyone react to it all, and how divided and lost we seemed after learning about the deaths of the nobles.
  • The Outcast isn't the big bad of the season like we thought?? Plot twist!
  • Hi, I'm Cena, and getting enslaved by a spider makes me cry. I was fine OOG, but the moment I got enslaved the waterworks came. Another side of Cena I didn't expect, although it was after the barbarian fight so she was already physically and emotionally drained.
  • Being disgusted by people eating in the blood-spattered tavern. Don't you realize you're eating bits of noble blood while sitting on noble blood?!
  • many more I can't remember at the moment.
The main complaint I have is the weather, but that isn't anything we can control. That'll teach me to be prepared for literally any type of weather next time, because I think we experienced all of fall and winter in a single event. What is this, Kansas??

No, your not in Kansas anymore, Dorothy.
