A number of things:
- It's going to be very cold this weekend, I just checked and it's not looking like it's going to be above 40.
- Check your weapons. Tape loses it's stick, foam gets stiff, and it hurts more to get hit when it's cold out. Weapons should be checked beforehand and on site throughout the event to ensure safe conditions. Bring repair gear.
- If a No-Armor day is called, a marshal has the right to see the rep that you would be wearing to make sure you are using a proper tag, so bring your armor, even if you don't expect to wear it.
- If you are wearing armor, KEEP METAL OFF YOUR SKIN. That's where you're going to lose the most heat. Chainmail is the worst type in the cold, since it's metal with a lot of surface area. Put several layers between you and your metal. I've worn Leather in very cold/wet conditions, and it generally keeps me warm, metal doesn't usually work this way.
