PYKE

Adept
A dire need is needed for my kind. Hope may be in a location and told not to move but once a year. That still is not good. But the bigger threat is despair. It was not changed into hope like some thought. It is roaming around able to cause such havok that will desimate entire villages. And to top that off. Having both hope and despair on the same plane we have been told will cause the utter destruction of everything.
And also we need to get pigs from the pig farmer. It's three months past due and a valuable resource.

[Breaks out into cacophonous laughter.] "Everyone, listen up! My race is about to be driven to extinction by the Aspect of Despair, and it's also going to end the world as we know it!

.....Oh, and we need bacon."

If that doesn't describe the life of an adventurer, I don't know what does.

Despair is next on our list. We just need the item capable of holding him. Fear not Pyke.

Is hope a bad thing? Because I feel like hope would be a good thing. Stone elves can have hope right? Or do you feel nothing at all Pyke? Is hope a feeling? So many questions...

For the record, Bob the Hope Aspect is the coolest guy you'll ever meet. The problem is that whenever he touches someone, or vice-versa, they become extremely hopeful, and Stone Elves apparently fall apart when they are made to feel extreme emotion. On a side note, yes, Hope is a pseudo-emotion.

Are we sure Stone elves fall apart? Have we tried it? Because I don't think hope is an emotion. More of an attitude of mind. Like a belief. I am pretty sure that Stone elves believe in things.

I mean, you could try I guess. What's the worst that could happen?

Oh, yeah.... Death.

What happens if hope and despair meet? Because that sounds like a fun time. If they touch would they neutralize each other or what? We could try it. Both problems solved. Your welcome.

The prophecy says that when Hope and Despair are on the same plane together, the world will fall into darkness. So, no, let's not do that.

Sarrow, I feel like that would cause many bad things to happen... and since merely being on the same plane causes problems, if they were actually in proximity to each other? I am imagining a VERY. BIG. BOOM.

Also, as much as I like Bob, my money would be on Despair in that fight. Despair knows dragon magic.

I was really imagining a fight as more of a friendly handshake.

So the worst that will happen when Bob and despair meet is that it will turn to night time for a little while. No biggie.

You humor is lightening. There is a job that will need muscle and skill to accomplish. The hedge witch has been unavailable for some time. I traveled to her but was only able to get a couple feet from the mist before being ran back in by ooz and ichor and tainted vegetation and enemies. Gray needs the tree spirit out of him

I am flabbergasted that Grey still has the tree spirit in him. That spirit is going to be outrageously mad, and maybe a few other people

It was not because of laziness or a lack of trying. The mist would not let up travel to the hedge witch.

Welp

To clarify, the hedge witch's role has been completed. Gwen has the components (minus the tree spirit in Grey) and the ritual and the ability to cast it. However, she does require an escort into the forest. Once in the forest you will need to locate the Dryad with the heart of the forest, as the heart is both the catalyst and the target for the ritual.
