Can you use Potency with Combined Strike?

Can you use Magic Evocation with Combined Strike ?

Sense you are taking the spells from memory to swing the carrier i assume it works but i wanted to check.

Combined Strike wouldn’t be affected by Potency because Potency affects spells. Combined Strike does not cast a spell, it provides a weapon attack based on the spell consumed.

Certainly I think the intent is that you can use Magic Evocation and Combined Strike.

Hmm, if the intent is that Magic Evocation and Combined Strike can be used for the same swing, then Magic Evocation needs an update.

Currently, Combined Strike says you expend a Signature Spell from memory to swing for "X Weapon Strike [Chaos/Flame/Healing/Ice/Lightning/Stone]", and Magic Evocation says it allow you to select the Magic Carrier when casting a memorized Evocation Bolt; if memory serves, it's been discussed in other threads that expending a spell to power a skill doesn't count as casting it, so you wouldn't be able to use Magic Evocation and Combined Strike with the same spell under the current wording.
