CSS and Spirit Targeting

If you are in possession of a bottle, are you able to cast rits onto that person's spirit without them present? I.E. Vengeance, Oblit, Arcane Armor (targeting spirit, not bottle), etc? Or do they need to be present and in contact with the bottle?

Per the ritual text:
"The body being controlled by the spirit is immune to life and death effects (Life, Death, Death Poison, but NOT Killing Blows) and spirit rituals or effects unless the body is in contact with the bottle. The bottle may be the target of spirit rituals."

The body does not need to be in the circle with the bottle because the spirit is the target of the ritual.
