Curiosity of a Young Elf

There is a female voice, that sounds soft and etheral as it hums a tune that sounds remotely like a lullaby. An image forms, slightly blurred, but as the observer is drawn in closer the image takes on cohesive form. A young Elven woman is kneeling before a fireplace with what looks to be a young man at her side holding her lovingly. However, for some reason his form does not become clear. The woman looks toward the ease-dropper (s) and smiles.

Hello, it is me Lhrayven. I have a question to ask of those who would answer me. I am curious of the arts of weapon crafting or rather blacksmithing as it is known since armor can be made using this skill as well. I was wondering if this is a skill anyone can learn? I would think so considering I have dabbled a bit in it myself, but just some of the basics. I also feel it would be more convient if I could just make my own weapons possibly armor. I hope to hear a reply soon, but I am not hasty. Take your time.

The image of Lhrayven and the man fade back to the point that just her voice is heard humming as it was.

Love, if you wanted to learn how to repair and craft armor and weapons, all you had to do was ask...

You could teach me? Izlude, I had no idea. I am sorry I did not ask you first. Now I feel rather foolish.

Actually if you know the basics you can self teach yourself everything else.

Respectfully

The basics of smithing are known to a number of people, and I suspect more than a few would be willing to teach you. (Smithing is a skill that a lot of soldiers know the basics of, as well as adventures.)

That said, if you want to go farther than the basics, most of the work you will have to do on your own. Style and practice are the only true ways to prefect the art. However if your looking for what information that can be given, be it advice or training, feel free to come on by. I know a bit about smithing myself and like to meet others who want to take smithing past the basics and make it into a true skill. Mayhap given time you may even want to take it into an art.
