Deception Pass?

Just curious, when was the last time Alliance Seattle ran a game at Deception Pass?

Alliance Seattle last ran at Deception Pass in 2013 over labor day weekend. It was a very long event, and ran from August 29th, 2013 until September 2nd, 2013.

It was a badass four-day event, too! :D

I think it's a good site, though admittedly, not as good as Miller. Capable of sleeping more people, but I reeaally dislike Monster Camp's placement. But hey, it's a clean site, without coffin sized potholes, so I'm happy. ;)

"Coffin sized potholes" is simultaneously an awesome description and a killer punk band name.
I'm sure its already been looked into, but is Deception Pass elc available for, say, July? :p Where do you check ELC availability if I wanted to do research on my own for Alliance Seattle?

I am glad to hear that you are so excited for the next event! Typically, ELCs are booked up to a year in advance. We will not be adding a mid-Summer event this year, but we will have at least one gameday on the schedule!

We have a specific park liason who tackles all of the scheduling, but thank you for your enthusiasm!

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to suggest I was going to go off half-cocked doing vigilante research (another awesome band name). :P Just spinning my wheels.

The problem with deception pass is that there is a ranger or some sort of person who lives right behind the center building. He complained about noise while we were there last time and he actually called the cops as well. So thats a thing we have to keep in mind about that site.

Yep! This time around we know quite a bit more about Deception Pass than we did in the past, so we have the opportunity to plan ahead to make sure that we don't have to worry about the problems that we've had there before.

Keegan - while we are not looking to schedule any additional weekend events for 2014, we are still looking to schedule gamedays. If you have recommendations for potential sites in the Seattle-area, please shoot us an email at manager@alliance-seattle.com. Thank you for the active involvement! :-)

Define gamedays?
Are these single-day regular events in the same fashion as modules?
Or are these one-shot non-campaign related gathers?

Aha! Game days usually last for just one day. Usually 10/11am until around 6/7pm. They can consist of modules, tournaments, quests, etc. Specifics tend to be released a week or two before the gameday itself.

Awesomesauce. I look forward to that. I'll collect some site ideas. What does alliance look for in regards to site selection?
