Defending of the Hatchery

Darkcrescent

Baron
Chicago Staff
Marshal
Sam and your comrades,

I never had time to properly thank you after your defending of the southern hatchery. Your actions ensured that at least some of our offspring will survive from that hatchery. The battles were equally as challenging from the other 3 hatcheries, with the exception that the Eastern Hatchery was full destroyed. Do not fret though; the Troglodytes had come with a full invasion force. Had it not been for your group holding off the primary assault, my people surely would not exist today. I hope that the Sacrifice Scroll we offered sufficed. As you know, my people can’t tolerate the energies of Eldrich Force, and as such, we do not have the capability of resurrection. That is why what you did was so valuable. If our tribe, our people were wiped away then that would be the last of my kin. We are not bound by your laws, and are seen as monsters to many. However you looked past that, you saw creatures on equal footing, and prevented us from extinction. The Troglodytes are scattered, and are few. The Lizardmen will forever be allies to the adventurers of Westhaven. Call upon us in a time of need, and we shall join your cause, as you had joined ours. “Gemclipper’s Stand” shall forever be remembered for generations to come.

I have also noticed many seeking to learn our knowledge of alchemy, which is why, upon agreement of my brother, the Chief, that I shall be delivering one of our prized Alchemy recipes. Use it well, and I shall deliver it in a months’ time after the eggs hatch.

Rezzik, of the Lizardmen

Thank you, Rezzik

But my action were nothing without the other brave adventurers that heeded my call.

Gnott of the Brotherhood, whose marshal prowess held the line when all others faltered.
Jehan Wyldweaver of Lifestorm, whose tactical mind and magical skill had no equal that day.
Kalin of Lifestorm, you are the rock of Lifestorm and were invaluable as ever that day. Thank you.
Ractor, whose level head and quick thinking saved many more eggs from falling.
Arista, for one who is not a fighter, you showed the bravest heart that day.
Poobah, this man is insane. That said, he can fight by me any time.
Fallyn Nemoralis, absolutely selfless in battle, he will become a great warrior in seasons to come.

To all of you, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Sam,

This is the sort of thing I picked up a sword a long time ago to do. It was good for both Kalin and I to be reminded of this and to fight a battle as hard to win as that with comrades as determined as you all were. I am sure he would agree we are deeply in your debt still. When you next have a worthy need, you have me sword and spell.

Jehan

Rezzik,
You are most welcome for my small part in preventing more destruction. My heart mourns for the offspring you and your people have lost.

Sam,
It was an honor and a privilege to stand beside you and our allies that day. Whenever you may find your self in need of my limited skills do not hesitate to call upon me.

-Arsita

Rezzik,

It gladdens my heart to hear of the victory over the trogs. I must apologize for my absence in your time of need. I was on a quest to obtain an item which was crucial help in the fight against the banshee, an enemy which threatened the safety of both our peoples. Now both the Lizardmen and Westhaven can flourish and grow together. May this bond be eternal and unbroken. I have not been idle since our last discussion of possible trade, We should speak next market day.

May your forge ever burn and your tankard never empty,

Draco Ardel
