The Food.

The NPCs.

The Staff.

The PCs.

Witching Hour the First. Having a an hour every night where the Dead Walk like clockwork is such a great idea. Set your sundial by it.

Getting in some Alexi time. Also, getting in some time as Erik Arkanus. Also, some time as that Emperor guy. ;)

Clean and fun fights, wonderful roleplay and hiding under the porch for half an hour.
Flexing those stealth muscles.

Dave Tengdin's Lay's potato chip arrows, "You can't eat just one."

Trash talk.

I have so many feelings about this chapter and they can all fall under the banners of "love", "excitement", and "asdsdgodifugoierthsdoiuasd!!!". This is the game I wanted to play when I joined three years ago. Thank you plot, NPCs, logistics, food, GM, and Rich. I can't put my love of what you're doing into adequately adoring words, so I'm just going to keep thanking you.

-Bitchin' Witchin' Hour. Knowing that there's going to be a predictable-yet-upredictable threat every night at midnight adds a consistent element of suspense and fear to the game that makes the time from midnight to midnight just a little more tenuous. It gives PCs something to get ready for AND something to adapt to; it makes us pool our resources, strategize, and ask, "So, how are we going to deal with the undead tonight?". Seeing how we went from total disarray on Friday to PREPARING FOR THE APOCALYPSE on Saturday was really cool. Most importantly, the fight on Friday felt NOTHING like the fight on Saturday; the enemies were different in number, stats, and timing. Additionally, the in-game explanation as to WHY the undead rise each night was just... amazing. I forget who explained it, but it makes really cool use of the idea of permanent death and what happens when too many people die their last.

-Seeing a fellow PC cast necromancy in a tight squeeze and not being able to remember it or do anything about it IG while being fully aware OOG.

-The whole elemental plane of fire debacle! Rich and Co. - thank you for giving my actions real-time consequences. It makes the game feel really organic and helps immersion so much when something as simple as getting a little too close to a portal results in a bizarre chain of events such as those that transpired this weekend. I really, really can't stress enough how much it makes our actions feel weighted when you know that the tiniest things can and WILL affect the course of events. Having the chaos elemental coming in Sunday morning to punish me for meddling with elementals and the Paracels was really just the icing on the cake.

-To that extent, thank you to Tim Curry for a great one-on-one battle! It was fair and fun and I loved the way you reacted to all the extra resists I had on me from the original trip to the plane of fire. "Ooh, this one has spirit!" "I like this one!" It was fantastic. Thank you!

-Speaking of that whole dilemma - FRANK MOTHALOVIN' WILLIG. Huleen's reaction to what Jovunn thought was a necessary sacrifice was amazing and I loved our conversation upon our return. The following reduced me to tears in two seconds flat:
"I don't care where we are. I don't care what the situation is. I don't care about YOUR DAMNABLE RANK. I will never, ever leave you by yourself like that again. I understand and respect your decisions because I understand who you are and WHAT you are, but I will never. leave. you. alone."
Moments like that are what this game is all about.

-Charlie and his beautiful, velvet voice. Seriously, Mike. Jovunn's gonna' have to forgo the vow of chastity if she's gonna' spend much more time around him. The voice is just way too sexy. Additionally, thank you for the beverages and "elosdi eggs"!

-All of the amazing conversations I had with Nyx, Elowyn, Zara, Thud and Fatso (!!!!!!!), Eagle (Dan! I don't know how to spell your eagle-kin's name!), Kamryn, and Lord Winterthorn! You guys really kept me going.

-I really need to thank three of you specially: Donna/Zara, Thud (what is your OOG name?!), and Cole/Nyx. At any given time, we were engaged in either amazing, funny conversations or tight, well-fought battles. I felt like the four of us always had each other's backs. I love it when groups come together without really... talking about it? It feels so natural and really replicates the way friendships form in real life. Also, all of the following: international "KOGARA!" symbol, gahlick fahts, yahyah!

-Explaining Icenia to non-Icenians and accidentally convincing a good seven or eight characters that Icenia is filled with a race of SENTIENT BUTTS governed by a SENTIENT BUTT-ROCK which has UNFORTUNATELY HAD A BUTT-EXPLOSION when one of the BUTT PEOPLE hit it. It was especially wonderful knowing who plays who in that chapter (I'm looking at you, Sheriff Izer!).

"YOU ATE MY ARM, YOU STUPID BITCH!" I totally forgot that I wouldn't know that and that it was a different character, so thank you to Susie for rolling with that. It was still hilarious.

-"Dominate gas poison!" "No, DOMINATE GAS POISON!" "NO! DOMINATE GAS POISON!" "AAAAGH! DOMINATE GAS POISON!" Poor confused, dominated-dominated-dominated-dominated Jovunn.

-Training Nyx to use a sword "YOU KILLED YOUR FAMILY! YOU'RE A ******* FAILURE! THINK ABOUT WHAT A FAILURE YOU ARE!" So fun, loved the reaction and the nerve I unintentionally hit.

-FATSO! I LOVE FATSO! I want to learn how to throw a weapon with Jovunn just so I can get my own Fatso!

Once again, thank you all so much. I'm sure I'm forgetting things, but this is already a huge list. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'LL BE BAHK.

OMGeezerz!!!!!!!!
This was a fantastic event to herald the official opening of Alliance Gettysburg. A huge shout out to the entire staff and the awesome NPCs that volunteered their time.
Here are some of my faves that I can remember:
The food!!! holy crap! Dwarven Cheesy Bread FTW!!!!! The food all around was incredible! hats off to the entire kitchen staff.
The bar setup, I think Winter has pretty much achieved barfly status in Barran, and is going to most likely be coming home to Arandin with stocks of Barranian liquor.
I missed the Friday night undead rampage at midnight, but Saturday night's was the bomb. It felt like George Romero's Night of the Living Dead (the 1969 original) with a Rennie twist, with half of the PCs holed up in a warded cabin and the rest setting up a massive defensive position in the tavern, complete with choke points and barricades.
Charlie Intoxing (almost) everybody as part of the post-undead horde celebration, only to have the three-man Doom Patrol roll in and wreck some serious *&^$. That was 10 or so minutes of fear-inducing awesome.
Finding out the I was inches away from being ganked by Colin hiding under the tavern stairs.
"Welcome to Bugtown!" nothing like thinking that you've dealt with everything, only to have another pack of angry bugbears chasing you back into town.
Meeting the King of Islan Tel'Nava and the Emperor of Tel Al'anor, and finding out that they aren't Humans! This was a very refreshing change of pace.
Fielding MWE physiology questions from Nyx, Jovunn, Elowyn, and Zarra. "How do you get your horns to jiggle?" PC to PC interaction is always a fun part of the game, no matter what chapter.
The campsite. The layout and the scenery gave Midmeadow the right feel of an outpost town in the middle of no-man's-land.
Fantastic weather. From watching the orange-pink sunset on saturday to gazing up at the stars after everything shut down for the night.
Chaotic sedition sown during the accords. This was such a fun fight. From Winter trying to chase down Elven Ket's dwarven alchemist to ganging up on the freaking stone golem.

To the staff of Gettysburg, I have to say this: what a hell of a way to come out of the gate!
Can't wait to see what you have cooked up for October and November.

-Duckie

I don't even know how to boil everything down into a succinct little favorites list -- it wasn't just a great weekend, it was an interesting weekend. My first time playing Zara is absolutely a memorable one, and somehow, she made a whole buttload of friends without really meaning to or trying. The completely natural roleplay with the group of PCs there was fantastic and incredibly immersive; I definitely lost myself into the character.

Being able to bounce back from getting my butt kicked, paralyzed, engulfed, dominated, and nearly killed twice Friday night was pretty phenomenal in and of itself. Zara isn't used to needing to work with other fighters, not to mention other races, so she did a hell of a lot of learning and growing in just a few days. Her intense sense of curiosity was in overdrive all weekend and it was a lot of fun to play out.

Jovunn, Nyx, and Thud were so damn awesome to roll with, I had such a complete blast with the group of you. Raina, Winterthorn, and Kamryn were also oodles of fun to run around with, especially in regards to jiggling horns, but Zara found real friends in the absurdity of Jovunn and the sassiness of Nyx. And she came to know the awesome might of Fatso. I really hope Thud makes it back to the area sometime, because Zara adored that kung fu pig.

The NPCs were amazing troopers. The food staff were even moreso. I cannot applaud both those groups enough. You guys kept going and going, and I'm amazed at how much the food staff gave themselves to their duties -- they sacrificed a whole lot of game time just to make us food, and that's fricking awesome. Thank you so much, guys.

"Butts? Really?" Zara is entirely convinced there is a race of butts in Icenia who control the land via magic rocks shaped like vaginas, or butts, or something. That place sounds reeeaaaal weird.

Late night surprise attack of hardcore undead was epic and terrifying -- excellent job making everyone piss their pants, guys.

I look forward to many more wonderful memories at this awesome site!

Geez I don't know where to even start. First thank you to all the NPCs. I know there weren't a whole lot of you but you made the weekend scary and awesome. Now for the list of nonsense.

-Playing Nyx for the first time. Her going from terrified, to wary of everything, to eased, then drunk the entirety of Saturday, then hangover angry Sunday. So much emotion that only Barran could give her
-Beating on Brandr and Charlie almost all of Friday night, yet they seem to forgive me
-Fire imp the first night. Paranoia gas that led me to meeting Zara and Thud.
-Wylderkin fest, I haven't seen that many kin in one place besides Nationals. It was awesome
-Eitiri and Nyx wanting nothing more than to protect her, awkward friendship is born
-Some really odd but awesome roleplay with the mute high elf healer (Maria!), again Nyx's protective nature acted up around her lol
-Effing Kris Kitts. You did so much for Nyx this weekend, you are the first non-kin person Nyx considers her equal and actually respects. PS. You didn't just hit a nerve training her with a sword. You hit ALL the nerves.
-Thud and Y. you two made the whole transfer from bubbly dryad to survivalist fox-kin so much more fun than I thought it would be
-The awkward combination of Zara, Thud, Jovunn, Y, and Charlie all talking about things that confuse Nyx's brain pretty good
-Feeling awesome Sunday morning when I tried to help Jovunn with the Chaos Elemental. Arcane berserk right to the chest. "No. Resist." Fox-kin win.
-Epic Anarchy last battle. And the loss of my sole finally mid-battle.

Feeling like someone Barran me over! Ok stupid puns aside, great event!

Welcome to Bug town! Lol. Solid classic mod.

Rescuing the scorpion healers from the orcs. If I'd realized there was an Alfvadyr with them I probably wouldn't have run as fast lol.

Finding flowers and other job board items. Good stuff!

All things Mike Brenizer. You didn't know what you were getting into whrn you slipped that intoxicate, did you? You are an awesome counterbalance to Kamryn. I'm looking forward to more awesome rp with you!

Shenanigans on the elemental plane of fire.

Running with the Kiergani again. Leona scaring the poop outta me with the blue hair. Yikes.

Mike Stabley's mwe and all the inter-pc conflict it caused. Good times.

Running to the king's side in the chaos of the final battle.

Making Emily's head explode is always fun. I keep breaking your plots ;). Long live the king!

I thought this event was absolutely amazing. I enjoyed more moments during the weekend than I could possibly remember.

Staff - Thanks for the over the top amount of work and love you have obviously put into this chapter. The whole world and experience feels very real.
NPC's - Did an amazing job with both the RP and fighting all weekend, wouldn't have been a game without you guys & gals!
Food - There are not enough words to describe how awesome the food was. On friday I ordered "Some eggs" and received a wrap filled with eggs bacon and syrup. I could not dream up a better way to eat during a LARP weekend.
Site - I love this site. Even the poison ivy and random fence give it character.

Will, Amanda and Angel for helping with my various ailments and injuries over the course of the weekend.

Being crazy was a lot of fun. Talking to myself was great, having NPCs/Staff come over with a headband on and start being my visions at various points was even better.

Fae stuff, love it. Will persue it, more fae stuff!

Tyson, the bunglatch will be a big hit, that NPC is going to be rich!

Susie, the four legged elf is a mystical creature, lets hope we never learn for sure where the man-bits go.

Kiergani, having other wild elves around was amazing, you guys were great to play with all weekend!

Fleeing at the sight of Mike G's Sea Elf and hiding behind Mich.

Meeting/Talking with the Emperor and the King. I did not see that coming. Dave & Collin did a great job!

Monster statting - I felt effective vs any particular monster I was fighting, but was terrified in every fight the entire weekend. Couldn't have been better from my point of view.

Joining the Guild of Celestial and Arcane Mysteries. I'm excited to see how the guild dynamics unfold.

Enjoying the dysfunction of having a new leader to the guild because the old one was a drunk and then having the new leader's second in command turn out to be a traitor.

I really liked that there are reasons to go searching the woods. I play in another game that does something similar and always enjoyed it. I'm not sure why more Alliance chapters don't do it but Bravo Gettysburg!

Green tags!!! In addition to it making more sense to find pelts on animals rather than coppers and booze on goblins rather than battle magic scrolls, these led to some awesome conversations/RP. Nothing like discussing hobgoblin porn, or trying to pay for a commissioned drawing with a "large bladder." The green tag items are great all around.

The NPC's again. You guys were super-human with amazing RP all weekend and great, terrifying combats. I can't thank you enough!

I feel like I'm forgetting so many awesome moments. I can't wait till the next game!

So first off I have to thank the staff of Gettysburg for creating this amazing new world for us to play in.

Also NPCs thank you so much for everything you did. There were fewer of you then us but you pulled it off amazingly.

Guys I can't tell you all how much telling everyone, involved in the Kitchen, that you were enjoying the food means to us. It kept us all going and the fact that it has made more favorites means the world to us. Thank you for the kind words. We have alot planned out for the next two events!

So Friday night was scary as all heck and I loved every second of it. From the undead attacking and the Ilosti. Wow....I hid so much this weekend. Figured out the 'safe' spots and the not so safe spots.

Not getting hit with any kinda pipe until mid Saturday...it was amazing!

Running away from bugbears while laughing our butts off! lol

Climbing into a tree to find out (after scratching my leg) that it was pine....Guess what Angel is allergic to... :sweat:

Jumping ship, even if it was only for one wave battle cause I had to cook. What?! I had no spells left...I wanted to do something...

Henry's dwarf. I was laughing on the inside as he went on about how his beard was a mess. It was funny. All I did was say hello and he came over all nice and bashful....Then we killed him.

Sunday when I healed the Emperor. Wonder if he remembers the little dwarf that saved him.

Post event food give away. lol.

But all in all I had an amazing time with this event. Everything seemed to run so smoothly. I loved every second of it.

~~~Shameless plug~~~~~
Seriously guys we love feed back about the food so please let us know if we can improve at all. Also the more you donate the more we can give ya.
OK here we go..
First and foremost. Thank you staff and NPCs, without your amazing planning, energy, and all around bad ***-ery, this game would not exist. In addition I want to thank you for making this one of my top 5 events in the last 7+ years of playing this game. You raised the bar for my expectations of what this game can be, and you have my eternal gratitude, thank you..
Now, on to specifics..
Da Food. Holy crap food committee, thank you for some of the best grub I have EVER had at a event. I seriously don't even eat that well at home most of the time, let alone at a camp site. Also, thanks to everybody who helped out in the cooking and preparation of food. Its a grueling and tiring job, so from my self and all who enjoyed your labors. THANK YOU!
The site. How bad *** is it to have a site that is so flexible and comfortable to suit our needs. I took one look at the tavern and though, "hell..yes" and then I saw how nice the cabins were and fell even deeper in love. Very much looking forward to future events with guilds and the like.
Props. For the first full event of a brand new chapter the props were fantastic. Rich is a master of making every dollar count and he did not disappoint. I know MANY people have donated to the chapter in both time and labor in creating awesome clothing and weapons/props and I want to thank you all for your generosity. Keep em coming!
On to the role play..
Michelle.. you are amazing! Your Mewe pc was one of the high lights of my weekend. Everything from your perfect portrayal of the female Adharcroi protecting poor Charlie in game, to you beating me in straight chicken out of game after I gave you a shot of the intoxicated whiskey was too good for words. I am SO looking forward to our next encounter. :P
Squire Jovunn and her stupid O clock description of the Butt nobles of Icenia. Don't be surprised if that comes back to bite you in a month or so..he he :mer:
Susie's Necromancer and my lucky shot in the dark that brought her down a second time. We had some fun out of game jokes about how that all went down, but Charlie felt like a true sniper even if it was a spray and pray shot.
Speaking of that, my interactions with Robb both in and out of game kept me laughing all weekend long. My character really enjoys his elf's company and appreciates is bluntness of things. Hoping to see more of him in the next few months.
Elosti (sp?) suck!!! Between all the effects and role play with that on Friday night I spent over 40 minutes strait with different role play effects on me. Different Pc's trying to get the eggs out of me with punches to the gut and even a him-lech maneuver, super fun, super ineffective. I was so burned out after that I needed to shut down for about 30 minutes to keep from loosing my voice. Coupled on top of that was my vocal cords getting used to a voice that I don't normally use. By the end of Sunday my throat felt like it had been kicked by mule, but I don't regret a second of it. Bravo to plot and NPC's you put the proverbial fear of god into my character when it comes to those things, if only for the fact I don't want to deal with the repercussions of figuring out how to get rid of the babies. Nicely done.
Getting to be the overly sexed, overly inappropriate character for once. My other character is such a stick in the mud when it comes to those sort of things. It was good to unwind and let my inner crazy come out.
Speaking of crazy. Having Kris' character breaking my characters brain/heart over and over again and her not even realizing she was doing it. At one point she was sparring and teaching another PC to fight and kept screaming of how your family is dead and your a failure for not protecting them. Hence my PC walked away for about 10 minutes and sulked behind his bar drinking intoxicants to cope. The little things that no one else will ever see can make all the difference some times. :)
The response to my bar. I'm absolutely thrilled that so many people like/hated what I had to sell there. I also made some mental notes and talked to Sheila about how to make it better.
----
The chase collins bound NPC through the town hitting him over and over with waylays to no avail.
Me: 1 waylay!
Collin: No effect!
Me: **** you, no effect! 1 waylay 1 waylay 1 waylay, die you sonofabitch!
Michelle: Charlie, get the **** back here before you get yourself killed!
Priceless.
----
Spider mod! Felt good to have a bow and be able to do some damage in there. Plus I really dig the super mod area that is a surprise until you enter it. Very cool.
Role play with Darkans and Amanda's characters. Always fun. Always.
Midnight mass-raise undead.. I enjoy the concept of planning for a midnight wave battle. It a great way for the Pcs to do a zombie apocalypse every night, and since there are so many types of undead you can always mix it up and throw a unexpected twist to it. Saturdays battle went so much better for the pc's because of a ounce of preparation, and that in itself makes the game fun.
The undead hit squad that interrupted my back massage... i love/hate you at the same time. Either way, the absolute terror and confusion that followed was epic.
The weekend resolution. I had some outside info that gave me a few good hints at what house C'naeus was gonna do, but it didn't ruin the effect for me. Seeing the king and emperor conduct the bull **** peace accord and wave battle that exploded from it was fun. Its hard to sit there and pretend like everything OK, when you know the NPC behind you is going to try to gank you in about a minute or so, but hey, that's what NPC's are for.
I'm sure there are many things I'm forgetting, but I need to wrap it up. Thanks again to all those who came and made the event what it was.
Now that I've recovered, here are my favorites...
THANK YOU PC'S! For dealing with all the crazy things that were thrown at you this weekend and ultra clean fighting. It's truly appreciated when I can go an entire weekend without one shot to the groin.
THANK YOU NPC'S! You guys made monster camp fun and enjoyable and even the bs conversations we were having, kept me going when alll I wanted to do was continue sleeping on the couch.
THANK YOU GB STAFF! This is the game I always imagined I'd play. Even from the dark side, I'll gladly stay on this side of the fence if it means I can be a part of this. It's amazing from the plot, to the ideas, to the everything. Thank you, truly.
- Being able to play the King. It was an honor and I was semi-panicking the whole time knowing I have to play off of Collin who knocked the Emperor out of the park.
- The final battle. It was so chaotic and so insane. And the very first thing that happens? I've got 3 people by my side, ready to roll everyone at the drop of a hat.
- Anarchy fireworks. NOT THE GRAINARY!
- Inappropriate Joke Bingo
- Can't wait to see the research book - How Do Flame Elementals Bathe? by Squire No-Pants
- *Braaaaappp*
- "What would you like for breakfast?" - "Got any Biata? Fried preferably?"
- As Rayna gives me some sass, "Calm down there appetizer"
- The Doom Squad a.k.a. Albert Undeadstein and the Meatsacks
- "It's time to tumble!"
- Antonio and the simple effect that hat had on all of Monster Camp
- Sneaky Dave time. I got plenty of it and was glad I could rogue it up a bit.
My mind is mush so this is all I can squeeze out of it. I loved every second of this event and can't wait for the next one!
Unfortunately because of problems with my back, I missed a lot this weekend, but I still had a blast. I really really look forward to getting to RP more with the Barran-based PCs and get to know my fellow foreigners better too in the future. lol
Thank you so very very much Gettysburg staff and all the seemingly tireless NPCs!!! You guys made this a truly amazing weekend and I know I had a great freakin' time and definitely plan on coming back every chance I get!
- Thank you to the tavern and food committee! Everything I ate was delicious and everything I didn't smelled just as good. lol
-Mike! OMG I love Charlie! :funny: It was awesome to get to see you play someone other than 'stick-in-the-mud' Izer and I hope I get to see more of Charlie!
- Silly cabin conversations and bathroom 'spider patrol' with Michelle and Donna. Hilarious. :P
- One of my favorite moments of the weekend was after one of the waves of fire elementals after they opened the portal in the tavern. Rayna looks at Huleen and asks if he needs an elemental shield. "Yes, please. Do you have any healing?" Rayna looks at him and simply answers, "Have I ever had any healing, Huleen?" Celestial templar Dryad FTW! :funny:
- Dinner conversations with Charlie, Winter, and Tyson's NPC. From barrels to bung-latches and everything inappropriate in between... lol
- The Bugtown mod! Holy crap what a good fight! Definitely reminded me of why Rayna needs some arcane armor! And seeing (and being a part of) a group of a dozen PCs running pell-mell away from 3 bug bears and 2 undead was friggin' priceless. I couldn't run I was laughing so hard. :funny:
- Deciding the couch in the tavern has an innate sleep effect. We watched how many people sit on that thing and promptly doze off?
I know there's more, but let's just say that the whole event was one big pile of EPIC WIN! Thanks again to all the staff and NPCs who made it so awesome! See you soon!
Oh, man. This! Your reaction to my question about the Rituals of Apocalypse BROKE MY/JOVUNN'S HEART. I felt so bad. Like, heart-dropping-into-stomach bad - hence all of the apologizing. I'm glad I could cause that kind of role play for you, though.
WITH FLAME SPONGES, APPARENTLY. :zonks:
Warning- this is long, even though I summed up…
FOOD! Seriously, you guys that handled the food all weekend were awesome. If I know this is going to keep up, I’ll definitely make a habit of donating more to the food committee budget. It was probably the least hungry I’ve ever been during an event- and as a fussy eater, that’s a big accomplishment.
The spider mod- the big fuzzy spiders, the webbing that entangled you, rescuing the damsel in distress- it was classic. And that mod area is nice. In fact, the whole site is really nice.
The reprisal of the spider mod- The hook came in and said we were incompetent for not clearing out the cave the first time. It was the perfect way to reuse a mod- we took no offense, because we only knew we were on a rescue mission the first time and saw no indication that they would spill out into the countryside, and yet it was an easy way to get 6 new people (‘cause we’re not rehiring you first 6 incompetant people) onto the same mod. Also, it was cool being able to give Squire Jovunn, who was leading it the second time, information about what she could expect, just to hear her say “Advanced knowledge! There’s something new!”
Random green item tags for treasure- it was just fun to see “What did I just pick up?” and “…why is that worth anything to anyone?” It’s a little more exciting- once I even got a spoon that had been stolen from the kitchen- look- treasure and free roleplay.
It looks like they did a lot of work developing Guild stuff, and I hope it takes off enough to see it in action.
I actually really liked the political plot, which was unusual for me. You ended up with several realistic, PC-friendly perspectives, and many options as for which way things can go. For my hero-soldier character, meeting 2 heads of state was a big moment- plot, feel free to capitalize on my offers!
The Life Elemental. My encounters with her were like getting hit with a Love elixir. My character took every touch and word from her as a divine blessing, and the role-play was awesome to boot. One example: When she saw me all dressed in white, she asked if I was a giver of life. I replied “Aas, I have no gift for giving life, but I do always try to preserve life.” She nodded and smiled gently and replied “ Many people get confused about that… protecting life IS giving life.” My character, a proper elf, almost cried.
Saving Jovunn by giving Fire Elementals fake Pyrotis. My character was so against it that she brooded for hours afterward, but OOG, it was pretty cool.
Later, bonding with Jovunn over talking about that incident, both of us disapproving of the way it went down.
I really liked the plot mechanism of the planes overlapping. Lots of potential.
The anarchists were an awesome way to stick in PC statted random damage.
The little things, like making a mad dash with Susie Lee to the swingset, and Henry running under us as we swung over his head.
I like how mixed the fights were- a little bit of everything- different types, different difficulties.
Midnight undead- a good, solid excuse for predictable fights- but not too predictable, since the two nights had different difficulty levels, again, with good explanation (thank you Charlie with the amazing voice for pointing out that the whole area was a battlefield, so we could get anything from foot soldiers to generals.) And boarding up the tavern the second night and fighting with a plan was awesome.
Tag team with Huleen all weekend, on the field, in the tavern at the back door fighting undead, etc.
And, of course, getting tons of compliments on my character. I got some real doozies, and you know I can’t get enough of them!
…seriously, that was the short version.
-Sheila (Aelawen, your favorite white lightning bug-zapper elf)
