I love your posts, Mike. :)

Rush is not the face of the Republican party. At least not if us youngins have anything to say about it. Right now we do, but there is a lot of work that needs done to get the party on the right track.

This is what I'm talking about:

If the GOP doesn't want Rush to be the face of the party, they have lots of work to do. Sucking up to him and apologizing every time you say something bad about him isn't the way to do it.

I agree. Just know this, Mike, there are A LOT of people like myself working to change the Republican party that GWB and his political followers did a lot of damage to. I know a lot of my liberty-minded friends/family say the Republican party is a lost cause (they keep saying I should go back to unaffiliated or switch to the Libertarian/Constitution Party), but I know there are still a lot of people in the Republican party that believe in what the GOP used to stand for. Ron Paul is one of the strongest voices we have (his CPAC speech was AWESOME!), but many more are stepping up.

I am very aware of that, and I wish you all the luck. The system works best with two strong parties. However, the GOP will never become strong again if it keeps alienating a majority of the population. The votes are in the middle, not at the extremes.

Founding fathers and Cornwallis. Quite an interesting scenario.
