So - what did you guys like at the opener?

I LOVED the soccer. it was a great releif from the tension that was hanging between players. Gotta say this was my #1 experience at ANY event. AWESOME!!

The PVP that occured. I get way to wrapped up in my characters(as some of you know ;{ ) and the emotions poured out of eveyone making for some great RP session.

Targas fight= sweet! I was excited to get up and personal in Targas' space and got plenty of hits in.

Overall, it was an awesome weekend (regaurdless of the drama). I had a good times. Made freinds and enemies. All in one day!!! lol

Thankyou to all NPCs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You guys were great even though you all got soaked. We wouldn't be playing or having fun without you, so again thankyou to all.

Thankyou to the plot team also, Paul, Sorren, ROb, Ryan, THomas.

Thankyou to all and to all a heathly dose of tylenol!!

In no particular order, despite being numbered:

1. The Appetou (someone tell me how to spell it, for future reference) madness at like 3 AM on Sunday. That was probably my favorite part, with all the afflicted people, lack of protectives (no antidotes and no purifies with many a nausea coming at us), and safety precautions making it a thrilling and truly awesome fight (especially when me, Eldarion, and Thud took on Appetou. Man, he must've had bucketloads of body, considering we were all swinging high calls for at least 5 minutes straight).

2. Getting the Earth Aura(s) from the Barrister. I gotta get me a permanent one of those!

3. Hengina.

4. Despite it being completely draining energy-wise and me getting a bit of a hurt ankle out of it: BLOODBALL! Regardless of how awesome it was, I ain't doin' it again. I'll let those folks who just sat on the side and bet on us try it next time.

5. Simply meeting the Chicago characters of the people I've either met as other characters or just never met. Great to meet you!

I'm sure there was a lot more, but that's just what comes off the top of my head. I will definitely make an effort to return to Chicago, and I hope you'll welcome me back! Oh, and THANK YOU NPCS!

Blood-Ball was an amazing idea and I had a major blast. I think that the teams should be picked by balanced levels/skills. (that's just my opinion, when one team does 4 dmg average and the other 10 it makes a big difference)

I REALLY liked the High Orc blessings, that really got me immersed into the final battle and made it very interesting and entertaining.

I honestly could not tell if the whole, LOOT LOOT LOOT BLAH BLAH BLAH, was effecting anyone OOG so I was getting a little concerned and just sorta stayed away from it. It was almost annoying walking up to one group and them talking about how they didn't get loot, walking up to another group and them talking about it as well, and then walking up to another group and them talking about how the other groups were talking about loot. Needless to say I got a little bored at that point.

I'm excited that D'rezz got some plot into Wayside now, so that should be very interesting in the months to come.

Hengina: TERRIFYING!!!!!!

I found my first full game Barristering to be interesting, some of my highlights.

1.) Spellcrafting Earth Blades - fun little bit of rp (and the sole source of income this event, oi!) and it was really cool to see some folks who usually wouldn't have the carrier effects swinging them.

2.) Targus Fight - I thought the portals of undead was a great way to split the lowbies into a section that they could handle and needed to be done.

3.) Rping with Ellandiril

4.) "I've got no one watching my back" "Oh I wouldn't worry about it too much, I do owe you a favor"

5.) Fancy new duds!

6.) Barrister, Buy this! (From a small group splitting loot) - While holding up a component

7.) Managing (in my cowardly fashion) to not get hit a single time all event. (McGregor doesn't count cause I did have a magic armor up...jerk!)

As to loot, it was interesting, I didn't see any all event, but I made up a fair amount in services so I suppose it works out well enough, can't win the loot game every game ^.^.

Hmm, lets see.

~ Getting my "spark" back and being ordered to continue helping in to fix the shadow problem.

~ Ryan as Tets: "Oh that Ark guy called you his lover when he was talking about your Brother." (for those who didnt know, Ryan played my brother)

~ Ark: "Are you ready to meet your brother?" that whisper was creepy as hell and awesome. Made me shudder.

~ Vince awesome job, I hope you come back and play again, I love your character.

~ Blood Ball and Dawson's High Orc, didn't see me coming but took in in stride. He must play soccer OOG.

~oh yeah, Team captain got thrown out first. LOL

~ rp with Enan and them seeing a side of each other never seen, so soon.

~Lifestorm battle Howl and Rhys's return howl.

~Bart, the most protective Mwe dad ever!

~Whoa wait, Gallious is smiling and laughing.

~Walk of groping zombies, feels like a walk of shame but way worse. Glad all you guys stepped OOG to be the mass of Zombies. Thanks!

~Lurin and Runir can finally rest.

I think that's enough for now.

I had some favorites as well. Seeing a lot of folks there who I've not had a chance to play with, some new players and fresh faces helped to revitalize some of the veterans. A lot of plot was wrapped up this weekend, I think more than most realized. I perticularly enjoyed:

-Galleous smilling and laughing.... and the reason why.... (muhahaha)

- "BloodBALLLLL!!!! This turned out to be way better than the disaster I thought it might be. The players all did a great job, the spectators were awesome, and the atmospher was great.

- Hengina and Kovu.

-The Feel of the Apatow MOD... "Apatow Angry, eat crunchie tasty elf"

-Lurin & Runir- The End of an Era

-The tavern Fudz provided by the awesomeness

-NPCs-great energy throughout the weekend, Ken, Adam, Dawson, Daphne, you all did great despite disturbingly tough circumstances.

Thanks to all.

-Holding off the undead
*Feeling useful on the front line for the first time EVER PCing
*Holding off the right side w/ Gandeon
*Spell Strike Drain: Bart & Thud-Spell Parry. Spell Strike Death: Brat and Rhys-thwump.

-Dwarves in the cave fight
*Fighting against Dawson with his polearm several times and actually doing well.
*The really long line fight

-Targus
*Taking (3) 18 Wither calls and still a) being alive & b) having a claw out for defense
*Sinking a bit of damage into him
*Fighting w/ Jack Shadow
*Getting to burn through my resists (and the resulting skirmish)

~Getting drunk and chatty w/ Brat, Kovu, Thud, Eldarion, Kaylin, Hengin(a)

~Counting how many nicknames Rhys got from refusing to tell people her name.

~Staring down an Orc Chieftain to keep a bloodball.

Well this was a GREAT event for me, I had an amazing time! I would like to start out by thanking all of the Plot team, the Staff, the NPC's, and the other Players.

I had a huge favorite, and here are some that I remember off the top of my head.

-Double Hooking the crypt mod (this single mod made my event, oog i was so proud and excited for the PC's and NPCs who worked to make this great for both groups!)
-Learning to Backpack w/ kovu on Brat and the rest of the front line! (I even backpacked Kalin....figure that one out >.<)
-Orc honor fight with the chief of Brat, only for him to realize that Brat has a wife in another land. haha was great!
-Giving the gifts that I had made for various people and NPCs!
-Getting closer to some PCs that I had never really thought I would.
-Drinking in the tavern while shadows and stuff fought outside! Along with that...walking up to McGregor and asking what he still had for booze, and than just saying yes when asked what I wanted!
-Gender Change! Booze purse! and Turquoise outfit! (thanks to Amanda for letting me where he clothes!)
-Getting Digested and rezzing as a man again!
-1 word rez story.
-Watching 2 rituals being cast.
-Getting to be a protector for Kyrie :D:D

and So much more!

This was a SWEET event and there are many more great things that happened, but I wont ramble on any longer! :D

-Brent

I would like to thank all of the NPCs ad PCs who came and made my event.

- Being named Regent and thinking that ( this is either a death sentance or a great opportunity, lets do the best I can and not die in the process)
- The end of the Lurin and Runir , begging on my knees and seeing a vampire almost cry.
- Actually forwarding the tower plot and finding out where those damned pecky golems are comming from.
- Having Soren sit with me at 7:30 in the morning to cast a Whispering Wind.
- Rouse the Regent :P
- Going to the tavern and being told that I had to pay for breaskfast.
- Mr. Windchimes.
- Having a serous deicsuccion with Brat about her Mystic Wood Elf wife.
- Actually killing Targus and crubling the undead inside the crypt.
- Being sucessuful with a plan.
- Sex changes !!!
- Apatau, and making the threat to fill in every single cave with cemement so I do not have to deal with things like that any more.

Amanda

Being part of the zombie horde. 8-)

Taking part in closing the portals in the Targus fight. I was glad to feel like I was doing something important. :)

Bloodball. I got a phone call from my FIL during the game and when he asked what the noise was, I told him we were playing soccer with magic and swords. He didn't have much to say after that.

This was my first time PCing rather than NPCing, and it was a blast!

- Blood ball, and somehow not taking damage the whole game before the heat got me (fur + soccer = pooped fox)

- Having everyone pile spells on me for the Targus fight, and tossing 10 Earth with my crossbow for half of it (It's a magic storm with a tail!)

- The scavenger hunt for the ripped up pieces of the Beacon (led by 3 scavies of course...)

- Spending the Apatow battle in the "we're out of purifies, just toss them all here" corner and watching it from safety

- The awesome Stake of Woe mod, and getting to panic IC when things looked bad

- Getting random back rubs just for being fuzzy. I love playing a wildkin.

man i totally forgot my #1 favorite thing this past weekend!!

BEING NAKED DOWN TO THE FUR INTHE BLOOD BALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was refreshing, I may try it more often ;)

I first off want to thank all of the PC's for the entertainment. Hadn't NPC'd in a couple of events and it was a blast. I ran myself ragged but had a blast in the process. First time playing outside of the SoMN chapter and I have to say you guys in chicago are great.

Favorites:

* Getting Killed way over 100 times.
* Bloodball (being taken out at least 12 times that I counted in that alone) i wonder what other sports could use an alliance adaptation.
* Finding out how great being tall and having a pole arm is.
* Putting the Apotow face paint all over the jason mask and startling PC's.
* Random Banditry.
* McGregors Ale
* Watching McGregor stomp around the Sarr Village after owning the chieftain and gaining the nickname alpha
* Alyce's brownies
* Chris' Hooka
* The Barrister's tent
* meeting new people

Thanks to everyone for all of the fun.
-Dawson

What a fantastic event! I can't think the other PC's the staff and most of all the NPC's who dragged themselves, literally through the mud to make this event a wonderfully fun weekend. Once again Chicago you make me want to live closer so I could play more often. :)

Now favorites...

Seeing some many faces from SoMN at the weekend! Yay for chapter hopping PC's!

Targus fight, always a good time.

Tower mod, "you are now entering level 2, room 8"... Thanks Paul for getting into that!

Strange as this sounds, the Appetou fight as well. Like Gandian said when he, Thud and I beat on Appetou for literally 5 minutes with solidly high damage all alone before he went down that was way cool. I'm glad Robb you finally gotten a big bad that works for ya. :) We were afraid to try and take him down the second time when we couldn't get him away from his "horde".

Getting a ritual cast! Thanks to the guys who assisted Kovu in the ritual, I know Sam had a great time and even though there was drama and even one of the casters rezz'ing before we could cast the rit I was really glad we could get it done. :)

I also just want to say I have NO hard or rough feelings OOG about all the silly/ridiculous IG shenanigans and whatnot that went down between PC's. Sorry we had to bug out early Sunday morning but love all ya guys! When stuff like that happens and characters get heated I just hope everyone is keeping it in game cause that's what I have to assume. What a crazy game we play right?

Magic storm for like 30 minutes strait! Even though my magic storm was flawed that was a fantastic fight and my arm is seriously going to be sore for like the next week thanks to that... And of course zombifying with the rest of the players at the game after that for the "walk of terror"... :P

I really hope to see lots of ya'll at the SoMN opener in two weeks, or barring that, the National event! w00t!

no worries all in game here! IG i could kill you all, OOG i could hug you all for a great weekend!!!!

Carrie

Thanks for the reassurance. :) Sorry we had to leave early, six+ hour drives are rough... :?

Yes I do believe that counts as an Event Favorite!!!

Yes, best cheeseburger I've ever had outside of a bar.

Also, Chris' hooka (and not hacking up a lung like I thought I would)

Hengina

Nummy bread items which I did not bake

McGregor sharing with Alyce. (He was the only one to do so.)

My brief stint npc'ing, totally not as bad as I thought it'd be. In fact, not bad at all- enjoyable even.

The fire on the first night. If ever there was a weekend for a campfire....

Nummy tavern food- especially breakfast. That really hit the spot.

Having the ogre's marks. Now I know what it feels like to actually do damage when I hit something. :D

Aaaaaaand my alltime favorite...

BLOODBALL!!!

That was seriously awesome. You MUST do that again sometime!

So, all in all not a bad weekend- thanks to all of you guys who made it possible. It was fun. ^^
