Finders Keepers

During the exploration of the ruins, i managed to pick up a dagger the someone obviously dropped. i know it wasn't from the ruins because it wasn't plant covered, and wasn't eaten. But sadly my plans of finding out who owns the thing was ruined by the drama caused by kobolds.

seeing as that is now resolved i am seeking to find who's dagger it was, and return it to them. in harbors far we have a no-theft policy when it comes to daggers and wedges of cheese

But be warned if it is not yours! I will be asking such intimate questions about the dagger as, "is this yours?" and "really?"

and there is a finders fee! which will be the taking of this paperweight off my hands.

so if you lost a dagger, too bad! you're getting it back

James,

I indeed did loan out a dagger yesterday that never found its way back to me. I am not concrned for its well-being and if it is indeed mine, feel free to keep it, as I can easily make myself another.

However, if you are so inclined to rid yourself of it, I would suggest you donate it to the next farmer or woodman you meet. I recently commissioned quite a few weapons that I was going to donate to the citizens living around Hope's Reach, but unfortunately no one showed up for the promised training and free weapons...

Long story short, if no one else claims they lost a dagger, then most likely it is mine and I don't want it back, feel free to dedicate it to the greater good. Also, I realized that you and your chaps from Harbors Far may not be quite so happy with me at present. I would like to speak with your group again when next we meet. I might even throw a free ale your way for the trouble.

Kind Regards,

McGregor

Dependin' on the length I might very well be in the markit for a dagger. You can always give me a chat if you'd like.

I believe that people did show up for your training session, McGregor, just none of us were there to witness it.

Regarding the dagger, James: If nobody else has a claim to it, I would be glad to take it off your hands. I like to keep a nicely stocked arsenal at my disposal, but as McGregor says, you might do well just to give it away.

You could get yourself a few copper for it, and if you didn't want that either, I'd also take that off your hands more than willingly.

and i actually participated in this training session. that actually makes sense why those people showed up asking for training. as a matter of fact, you might have dismissed them as random mercenary guardsmen, because they were working for the merchant if i remember correctly

as for the bad blood, do not worry about it. i have no ill will towards you, Lok doesn't. even though i don't speak for my leader, i know him pretty well. aselrick and eveie are also of a like mind as i. it was a disagreement, but that doesn't mean we can't be friends, or civil. i know i myself over-reacted to it, and i offer my apologies. if you require anything to make it right, let me know and it is done or yours.

i can check the craftsmanship of it against your wares if you would like to confirm if the blade is indeed yours.

if you're not interested, then i'll just give it to the first person who will get some use out of it. that is unless someone can prove through the rigorous questioning i have outlined that it is theirs

and by use, i mean the first person who needs it instead of someone who's saying, "gimme dagger! gimme dagger! gimme dagger!"
