Hope everyone enjoyed the food at the last event! It's great not to have to leave the site to eat, isn't it?
I must remind everyone that this isn't free. We spent about $325 last event on food (and bottled water) by my calculations (not counting donations for goblin stamps -- that's $325 in cash Faire Play paid out).
According to the pre-reg list, we had $80 donated toward food. I know a few others paid at the door (thank you!) but it's clear we could use more.
We had about 60 people there, including NPCs. If each person had donated just $5, it would just about cover the costs!
If you eat dinner and two breakfasts that means each meal would cost you less than $1.75 a meal. Where else can you eat so cheap?! You probably spent more than $5 on a Sunday night meal before you drove home, too.
So please -- when you sign up, throw a few extra bucks in there for food. Remember that some of our NPCs are broke, so donate a bit for them as well.
After all, the less Faire Play has to pay for food, the more we can spend on props, cabins, and fireworks!
