Due to being a new chapter, we had yet another 'hiccup' of different interpretations during Logistics last weekend.
When you spend Goblin Stamps for Production Points, do you still have to pay the copper for the base cost of the item? When I first checked in, I was originally told I needed to spend 50 stamps towards production and then 50 stamps towards copper to pay for the production. (The example in the book seems to indicate otherwise, as it shows getting 100 pp worth of items for 100 goblin stamps.) I decided I was okay with this interpretation, and would investigate later.
Does the player need to be able to actually craft the items in question? My understanding is that you are not really paying for production points, but production points worth of items. The example in the book shows the player getting an elixer, a potion, a scroll, and a sword. While it was certainly possible he had all these crafting skills (and the required spells/recipes for each, as some of them were high level), it seems unlikely. (I was trying to purchase 3 different types of alchemy, when I only had the recipe for 1. At this point the chapter owner checked the book and agreed with me for the time being, and I got all 20 of the 5pp items I was requesting, however I thought I should get it clarified for certain. Being able to 'buy' all these goods in this manner helps me feel like a merchant, even though my actual ability to produce goods is still limited.)
Thanks for your time,
