I thought this was a great weekend. I had some great rp which really helped out my character. Also, the mods I got to go on were amazing, difficult and it really made me think. I thought it was well ran, there were some slow spots but there isn't always gonna be action. NPC's were great even though I couldn't affect a lot of them.

I gave it an "A." I will post my personal favorites when I have some time later.

Thank you Plot and NPCs!

I gave the event an A, the quality of the writing was superb and the npcs really gave it their all. The statting was appropriate for the type of weekend and also appropriate to the relevant plot at hand. Of the mods I went on I never felt useless, even when on a mod with the scary as hell dark elves.

A season well done!

the only complaint i have with the event was it was COLD...! i mean really guys why haven't you learned to control the weather and fix that. You can cast magic cant you?

I agree! Seriously, get with the program!

Solid event. A. some fantastic plot for both the weekend, and the story arc, and tying in other chapter stuff, and the racial stuff i saw out there. it was all very inclusive.

there was a good amount of npcs. it made the battles seem very realistic and allowed for some good role play too.

the costuming and makeup for both pcs and especially npcs seemed very well done especially considering how cold it was.

i saw alot of PCs taking carrier effects. including myself twice!

good number of tag holds, and when there weren't, i saw PCs still going through tags and throwing them away anyway.

I walked into the tavern a few times, and it was totally empty. that's not a bad thing, because it means we all just weren't sitting around waiting for moster camp to send us soemthing to do, we were already out there doing it, or seeking it ourselves.

way to end the season on a high note.

reasons in favorites. It was just amazing!!!!

A+

Fear, real, honest fear ruled this weekend. It was excellently written, and well executed. The plot required thought, and put my character through several serious dilemas. The cliff-hanger ending is going to keep me on the edge of my proverbial seat all winter! Great job, everyone.

A = Awesome

Tab and me got to scrap one time that was nuts. I'm laying on my back for the third or fourth time being deathed and suddenly i realize that people stopped lifing me and were running away and I was being Searched!? I was like DAMN! This is frickin NUTZ! The crazy strong roleplay was intense! The best thing I got was a tiny wooden stick!? Seriously, best frickin treasure ever! You have no idea how proud I am of that, I am going to dremel a number on it: AWESOME #1, Eric is made of Steel! Patrick Von Raven is my hero, decked out in armor weilding cauldron-breaker. Jessica, Metzler, My Bro, Hennesy, Will K, Bill, Coggin, Henry (just to name a few); awesome friends to PC HQ almost all year with, they really stood out to me {omit biased opinion}.

It was the best thing in the world for me to see Colleen and Renee there. The whole Halloween-Setting was pioneered by a good man and I think we did him proud. I reserve my plus for the master. HQ Plot and NPCs take a bow; thank you very much.

VERY MUCH LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT SEASON at Faireplay!

I gave the event an A.

The story was intriguing, the ritual f/x were a great touch (that's bringing it to the next level, guys!), the roleplay was in supply, the battles, both big and small, were plentiful and the modules entertaining...this is the LARP formula for a successful event. There were some lulls, but then, I've never played nor ran an event were there were no lulls...it's the nature of the beast.

I voted B.

The event itself was stellar. A and a kudos to plot. Like stated before, it was a thinking mans plotline. I loved it.

There was however a few non-directly plot controlled reasons for me to drop it to a B:

-- Statting was nearly spot on. As far as I could see the weekend APL= OMG. Even still there was plenty for every level to get in on. Some may disagree but I'd say those people just may have had trouble connecting. There was however a lack of breathing, non-ripping, more standard targets. I think NPC camp recognized this and tried to address it on Sat. It should also be noted that it was a Halloween event. Still, variety is the spice of life.

-- A lack of fishbowls. Most "townies" were immediately recognized as being hooks, which were quickly jumped on. But overall there was a sense of lack of fill. Stellar RP from the playerbase as a whole filled that need for me but more is better. Not to mention if there were more bodies in the tavern we all could have made it warmer!

-- Logistics. It was rough in there on both nights. Specifics aside, if help is really needed in there you have to ask more often and earlier. A great number of people and myself would love to help out.

Seriously, the above is all offered only as constructive critisism. I had a seriously great time and can be considered another satisfied customer among the horde that showed up to play. Thank you HQ and especially to all the NPCs that came out to help make it happen!

I wish there was a way to share the logisitcs database. i am a nazi for organization and often fantasize about helping mike e. before an event. I remember having been able in the past to pre reg with gobbies delt with, build spent, spells picked, and production dealt with, and show up to a folder with my name on it, picking it up, knowing it was right, and walking away to let the people paying at the door do thier thing. This hasn't happened in a long time.

If we shared the db via FTP or something, or even allowed me or someone else with the know-how to build a web based interface that logisitcs staff could use up until X time on X date before the event, we could probably process alot more requests. You wouldn't even need to have internet at the site just because it was being updated that way before the game, just download the updated DB from the webspace before you leave to go onsite and shut off access to the db via the web.

this could enable other logisitcs staff at remote locations to not only process pre-regers but also print tags and so forth, creating the folders before hand. sure, some stuff would need to be added on site like coin, but organised people could make a list of what needs done and make it happen.

my point is, i think mike and the log. staff get overwhelmed onsite because the pre-regging isn't done so they have to deal with that and the new requests. perhaps if we found a way to eliviate that load, it would run alot smoother.

I think one thing is to close pre-registration earlier than Wednesday next year to give them more time to prepare. The second is to just get more volunteers to show up early and help stuff the envelopes...

But I'll let Mike chime in here.

I noticed Chaz by him self at one point in time. I jumped in both nights to help out with logs.....having the cut off on Wed isnt that bad, you don't have to wait untill that day to stuff envlopes, start as soon as you get them.

yeah, i mean, besides mike e. i am not really sure who is on logistics or how you would join. jumping behind the desk is one way to help out, i just think the pre reggers should be dealt with long before the day of the event. hence my suggestion of sharing the database.
