Gratitude of a King

Good people of Fortannis

The Raksasha has been defeated and the Hourglass has been restored. The mystic keys from the many lands of Fortannis unlocked the energies needed to seal that which might have otherwise fallen to decay and destruction. Many people, noble and commoner alike, faced dangers untold for innocents they have never met. I personally would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to those who have given much, so that those from the lands of Desha Vitara would have a choice. They that have sent so long trapped within the hourglass have now tasted the outside world. Their ways are different from our own; their customs, mannerisms, laws and forms are as strange to us as ours are strange to them. But now we give them the freedom to choose their own path. Some will choose the familiar and stay within the lands of the Hourglass. Some will choose a new path and live among us. For those that remain within the Hourglass their world will remain safe. The Hourglass itself will remain safe as there is an Alliance of nobles from across Fortannis that have made the dedicated decision to become the protectors the Hourglass. For those who choose a new life outside of the Hourglass, some of the kingdoms of Fortannis have opened their arms and lands to these new peoples. Amongst the changes to the peoples of Desha Vitara the Kuani have become a free people and the water bearers of Desha Vitara have been restored. Guild Elder Ember Silvershae has told me that a number of adventurers assisted him in the freeing of the lizard people known as the leTah'ah from the Hourglass and that they have found a new home in the lands of the Triad Confederacy.

Many people gave of thier knowledge, resources and time to accomplish these great tasks. Also, a few of those heroes gave of their spirit's strength in the effort to save the people of Desha Vitara. There was also one hero who made the ultimate sacrifice. Silvos Fallingstar gave his last breath in the pursuit of defeating the Raksasha and saving the people of Desha Vitara. I shall miss my brother in arms and I do hope that his spirit finds rest in peace.

Again I thank all those citizens of Fortannis that helped to make this happen.
