Greetings from across the mists....(Enerret)

Marshal
Greetings and well met,

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Squire Kendrick Eisenhal and I hail from the Kingdom of Acarthia, across the mists. I have recently been looking into the magical power of the mists and I found an opening, one from my land to yours. For now it seems stable and I have crossed through. While it was necessary for me to travel back to New Acarthia for a short time to take care of a Sahaughin attack upon our lands, I hope to return to Enerett for the monthly gather happening in July.

I find it important to introduce myself before attending the gather. One, I prefer to know a few names before entering a foreign city. Two, while I am traveling to Enerret mostly to see how other lands are faring, I also wish to see ask how I might be useful to you and your city. I hope that the time I spend in Enerret that I can be of service to its people, even though I am visiting for such a short time.

I do have a small question of propriety that I wished to ask. I am a squire in my own lands, and the custom is to represent ourselves with a red belt. Is this a custom in your lands and should I change our my normal belt for one of a different color so not to confuse myself with your squires? What is the custom for visiting squires within your lands?

By my hand,
Squire Kendrick Eisenhal

Squire Kendrick,

I hope you find the lands of Enerret lovely as I have.

Firstly, know that those of us who can travel the mists are looked upon with some suspicion. They call them the Tenebrous here, and they tend to bring only monsters. You will find the term 'white Tenebrous walker' is what's used for those of our kind, to indicate we are foreign, but generally benign.

I have removed myself from field operations for the time being, and so I regret we will not likely meet. My cub is my first priority for now. As such, I cannot comment much on the state of things outside the edges of Brimm's Watch. Hopefully someone else will be able to give a better report.

I can say that, should you come across lions with manes of flame, please take care to avoid them, or only defend yourself as needed. They are largely gentle, beneficent creatures.

As to your squire ship, we use the same conventions here. There shouldn't be much issue with you displaying your status, but you may also wish to have your liege pen a missive for the Magistrate and Baroness to prove your credentials. Better to cover ones tail than leave it out to be singed.
