Hi everyone,

My name is Michael, I'm 35 and currently live in Bethlehem, PA although I spent twenty plus years in the Mt. Pocono area. I spent a lot of time playing PnP D&D as a young'un and my small group of gamers ended up doing our own very rough form of LARP (we used stick swords, rocks (packets), and target arrows...until someone almost shot their eye out). I have done neither in years now and have just been playing RPG's on my PC. I enjoy writing when I'm not gaming and typically focus on fantasy stories. I'm looking forward to getting my feet wet next season and have spent the last week or so reading up on the Alliance and what you're all about. I purchased the Rulebook and have made that my daily work reading :) I think I have the gist of a good portion of stuff, but I think the rest will make more sense once I can get involved. I'm going to finish all the registration/membership items and then get to work on character creation and background, although I will most likely NPC for awhile. I must admit, it saddens me to think I'll have to wait until next Spring, but with Christmas coming (and the PA snow) I suppose it is for the best. Just wanted to say hi and I look forward to meeting and playing alongside all of you at some point.

Cheers

Mike

Hi Mike! Sorry you didn't hear about us earlier, when we used to run our events at Camp Lindenmere in Tannersville! Bit of a hike now...

Welcome aboard and I look forward to seeing you in the spring!

Mike

While you do have to wait to play a PA event, there are other events running in different chapters (locations). http://www.alliancelarp.com/calendar.php There are at least 7 events with in 5 weeks.

Greetings!

Sounds like you've already got a good handle on things, which is awesome. But you're right, some of it only makes full sense when you're playing.

We should have our 2011 schedule up in the next month or so.

Looking forward to meeting you!

Michelle

Welcome aboard, Sir. You'll find lots of people welcoming you and willing to help you get acclimated to the game! See you next season!

Sweet more folks pa! ( play a dwarf) always awesome to have new friends and associates(play a dwarf). If you know what kind of race now's an awesome time to buy a players guide and request a racial packet (play a dwarf). If you need any help Just let us know ( play a dwarf) we got your back.

Kyle

Kyle you should be telling him to play a Rom, there are more of us than the dwarves and we really get peoples backs, not just say we will..... ;)

So Micheal, play a Rom you'll be part of the biggest extended family.

Hi Mike!!! Welcome to the game! :D If you play a Dryad, you'd be in the newest race with the smallest but AWESOME-EST family ever! I'm a noob (only been to three events myself!), I play a dryad, and I LOOOOVE meeting my brothers/sisters!

Kevin play Aegeirus more! He's awesome! :) I love Dryads!!

Yeah but dwarves are Hardy, we drink beer, the only jingle we make is our chzinmail or plate. Heck even the coins in our sack. Plus we are handsome and wide. Chicks dig scars and girth. We got both!

I second this! Roms have more fun >:3

Nah, he should be an elf. I wouldn't expect any of you lesser races to understand why. ;)

elfs, yawn....... snooze fest with pointy ears..... besides being stuck up for no reason there is nothing special about them. ;)

Kyle-Dwarves might drink beer but roms also drink beer, and wine and anything else for that matter. Roms always have fun, and we can tell our women form our men

Susie, who is this Aegerius you speak of?

Mike, as for the distance. I am one of the ones that drives from CT so can say it is worth the drive.

Kevin

note to self, need a bottle of tight corset for Gwendara....

unless you're talking about Kergani. Even I, being the human-lover I am, had to make me one of those.

Lol, enjoying the race pitches. I can almost see "This has been approved by Elves and friends of Elves...if they had any." :D

Im with Christine on this one!!!! What other race has a drink that would kill u LOL !!!!!!
