My state is so awesome - we have a Festivus pole in our state Capitol building, right next to the nativity scene and menorah!

Except here in IL, we started Festivus early, with the airing of grievances...

Pfft.... that's nothing new here, and that has no season. Just marry well, or have enough money, and anyone can get elected here. Well, unless you open your mouth (see Jim Oberweis for proof of this).
