Heidi (Zat) and health concerns

Heidi probably wouldn't want me posting this but here goes.

Most of you are aware that Heidi lost much of the use of her right arm years ago to a cancerous tumor. She has no upper arm muscle, and no muscle in her back on the right. She has to take pills that numb her nerves or she's in terrible pain. Because the muscle is gone, her arm does not circulate properly and at times she has to use this machine that pushes the liquids in her arm into place or else it swells all up. And she has to spend a lot of time resting.

She should be a Page but she sees that as "giving up."

I bring this up because (a) I won't be there this event and I hope people will look after her and make sure she isn't pushing herself and (b) so people can understand why Zat isn't out on the battlefield casting Life spells and instead asks for people to bring the dead bodies to her for the Life spells.

Heidi does not want to see herself as handicapped but basically she is, and I hope everyone will understand. At the last event, she overheard a player complaining about Zat not being out on the battlefield, as if Zat was afraid, and it hurt her a bit, because obviously she would much rather be healthy again.

So go visit her in the Guild, and please understand if she is merely laying there for a while or sitting in her chair with her arm wrapped up in her machine.

Don't worry. I'll keep an eye on her and help her out this weekend! :)

Amy and I did our best. If there's anything else we could do, say so and it's done ^_^. I loves my Heidi!!! ^_^

Well we love her and want her to not get hurt so she can physically be able to make it next time and the time after that and the time after that and the time after that...

Actually because everyone watched her and made sure she didn't push herself too far, she was much better when she got home. Usually after an event she spends the next few days in lots of pain, and that's not the case this time. Of course, I also made her promise not to be out on the field all weekend (especially in the cold weather!)

To hear that warms m heart and makes me happy, yay for low recoup time!!!

Actually, this is the secret: Telokh went into Zat's mind and used Destroy Emotion on her. She immediately saw the logic of staying in the Guild to watch her health and was easier to take care of. LOL

I'm glad to hear that she didn't have as much pain after this weekend.

We talked for a while this weekend, and I told her about how after my mother's 11 knee surgeries... I'm used to keeping an eye. It's tough when someone loves to go out and do things, but has physical limitations that prevent/hinder it.

I get it, which is why I tried to keep her company as much as possible.

We love our Guild Mommy!

Amy's right. Having back problems myself, and with the stuipd girly-cancer thing, I totaly get not pushing it. I'm so glad to hear the re-coup time was cloe to nill. Now that we have the bigger, better healer's guild too, I think we can do ALOT to help get her it tippy-top shape! ^_^
