The quick answer: Yes, you are welcome to come, we accept players at the door. We encourage people to pre-pay and to pre-register (we even give a discount for doing it) but it is not required. The event is next weekend, so if you don't have gear/costuming/a character on our books (it's pretty much too late to transfer a character in from somewhere else for this game), it might be best to NPC this one (it's also much cheaper, and we feed you). Though if you're itching to PC, you can always make a new character.
A few things since you haven't played in a while:
Seattle is an Alliance chapter. Some time ago Nero Alliance changed their name to Alliance to disassociate themselves with Nero International. The books we have still say Nero on them, but there is a new edition coming out in a few months. If you previously played Nero International, then you'll have to start a new character, we can't transfer characters in from that game. If you played in a Nero Alliance chapter, then hopefully they still have your character on their books (or you have an old character card) and we can bring that in no problem. (Where did you play? How long ago?)
On that note, there's been a number of rules changes in the last several years. Depending on how long ago you played, there may be some significant differences. The basic structure hasn't changed in the last 10 years or so, but there have been additional classes and skills added. (Another good reason to NPC, to re-learn the rules!)
If you're crazy into playing, there's actually 3 weekend games in a row on the West Coast this month. Next weekend is Seattle, the following is San Fransisco, and after that is Oregon. You can probably find (or provide, I guess) rides to any of these if you're willing to split gas.
Feel free to ask questions, someone should be able to get answers to you pretty quick.
