Hello!

I'm planning on making the horns for my MWE alt. Has anyone seen a good tutorial for making horns?

Thanks!

Idk about tutorial but look into going to a hobby lobby and pick up a box of clay called "mili-put". It's two parts and you mix 50/50 and it air dries hard as a rock. Light weight too. I'm making a stag and I'm making my first set of small horns. It's like sculpty except you don't have to bake or put wire base.

I'm trying to avoid having to paint the horns so I'm going to be using multiple colors of the clay. I'm having shaping issues.

While I understand the sentiment of not wanting to get into painting, something to consider is that the painting process often helps strengthen and seal the horns against weather/damage.

I know that for sealing, mod podge is really good. For securing the horns to your head, two tiny holes through them (made with tooth picks) allow for a clear thin elastic band to make a head-band that disappears into your hairline.

Daphne,

Your best resource locally for this will be Amanda F. She has made a lot of these.

You can also shape the horns so they contour to your forehead just below the hairline, and use medical adhesive (which takes some practice) or spirit gum to affix them. (Headbands give me headaches and my primary is a mwe.)

Pansdevilhorns.com also sells some relatively inexpensive pairs.
