"if it has a spirit"

There are several rituals that include 'body' or a 'creature' as a target "if it has a spirt."
Is this meant to imply that it has one at all, or that it has one on its person.
The obvious application is bottled creatures.

The spirit needs to be in a body to be affected, which would mean:

- a permanently dead body will never be a valid target, unless someone else's spirit is Spirit Stored into it;
- an "empty" body due to a Spirit Store will not be a valid target, but the Golem with a Spirit inside of it will be valid;
- an "empty" body due to a CSS will not be a valid target, but the body with the bottle in contact would be
