"Wild Hunt"
Many of the initial impressions seem quite positive, even from (supposed) larpers, and has won a couple awards in Canada However, the creators decided to take a more "slasher film" tone for the trailer, and I'm finding it a tad, well, disturbing.

The trailer seems to run counter to what is supposedly portrayed in the film.
"And their view of LARPers is overwhelmingly positive. 'They are the most peaceful people,' Franchi says. 'I think humans have a desire to experience true emotions — honour and love and romanticism. They commune with nature and huddle around the fire. We’ve lost this in our society.' ”

"When The Lord of the Rings trades punches with Lord of the Flies, you get a film called The Wild Hunt."

Whatever the case may be, I'm hoping to check it out. The entire premise is based around a more European-style LARP that exists in Canada, called "Bicolline", but the creators are NOT larpers themselvse. They actually filmed some of the footage at one of the gatherings that hosts over 2,000 players, and so the movie is at times depicting Canadian larpers in a giant field battle, or in another scene a group of drunken players dancing in a tavern.
So, it's obviously not the same environment, game system, or mind set that we play in, but it's still relevant to the hobby. Especially with such a dark, sensationalistic trailer, I wonder if some people might never see the film, and form an opinion of LARP based off of this preview alone.
