Is it too early to be excited?

Now that it's 2009, I think it is acceptable to begin the day-by-day countdown until WATCHMEN is released.

So long as 20th Century Fox doesn't do anything to screw up it's release.

Now that The Spirit has been released, Sin City should start appearing.

I'm looking forward to Watchman.

It's on my movie list as well as X-men Origins: Wolverine, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, and Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li.

X-Men: Origins? What what what? I am behind the curve! When is it coming out?

May 1 is the target date for Wolverine according to MSN Movies.

It seems there will be a few of these X-Men: Origins stories as there is talk about a movie about Magneto's history.

Other good movies coming up

Dragonball (April 8)
Transformers - Revenge of the Fallen (June 26) YES!!!
Angels and Demons - (May 15)
Knowing - (March 20)
Terminator - Salvation (May 22)

Here are the ones I am looking forward to at the moment (but that can change if the reviews are terrible):

A lot of films here that were originally supposed to come out in 2008, hm?

Well, Harry Potter 6 was due out last November, but they pushed it out until next summer. My take on the why: They wanted to bring out HP7 (in two installments last I heard) and wished them to come out every six months or so.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the first HP7 some time late 2009/early 2010, with the final installment half a year later.

Still waiting for "Preacher" to be made (as if),

actually warner bros already stated the why. they made so much money off of the dark knight they wanted to wait till 09 to release another big film like HP6 so they could pad that years numbers with it. simple as money.

Another perfectly good speculation destroyed by fact. Thanks! :)

(Of course, there could be other reasons, but money is the most rational.)

Another reason: Because of the writers strike from a year or so ago, there was a big hole where no big films were planned on being released, so they moved some films from late 2008 to mid 2009 to fill the empty spots.

Mike, that fake Watchmen poster you posted is making me depressed.

Ralph Fiennes should definitely be Ozy.

Just incase anyone hasn't seen it yet, The Spirit was a steaming pile of crap, I wouldn't recomend it to anyone.

Don't forget my main man's getting a much needed update. His stuff was getting kinda cornball.
Go back to camp on Friday Feb. 13th!
