Joining A chapter

Hi guys, Can anyone tell me how I can located a chapter near me. My Friend and I are very excited to get started. Thanks for any help you can offer some new members..
 
York Pa, I just checked on the website and I am only two and a half hours from Tannersville, Pa. I would love to attend a event. Could I start as a NPC to help?
 
oh yeah im sure they would love that, there is an event this upcoming weekend if you can make it
and also you get to try some stuff out, learn some rules and get some good experience with the game with out investing alot of money for a character just starting out
not that there is nothing wrong with pcing your first time either

Welcome! syra is correct, we (at Alliance HQ) are actually having an event this weekend if you are interested in playing... NPCing is Free as long as you have a membership, (a 3 month trial membership can be purchased online at http://alliancelarp.com/pay.php or on site for $10.00) and sign a legal release form http://alliancelarp.com/legal.php

... or we are also having our annual Low Level event June 11-13 which would be a fantastic time to PC for a new player.

There are alot of players from York (I used to live there myself) I can tell you. Our game site actually moved from Tannersville to Motrose, PA which is a little North West of Scranton, so the drive time is a little worse (I live in Lancaster - it takes us about 3.5 hours to get to the site) but not by much, and it's well worth the drive. Heck, I have friends who play who live in DC and they make the drive almost every event.
