Thank you to everyone for a great weekend!

We gave out some Player Rewards, and now it is your chance to vote for who you thought was the best NPC. I have listed all the names of the NPC staff below, and tried to list the roles they played throughout the weekend, however I may have missed one or two.

Please respond to this thread, with 1 vote only per player please! If you would prefer to make your vote anonymous, please email plot @ alliancealberta.ca instead of posting a reply here. Do not post debates or replies in this thread! If you want to discuss a particular topic/NPC/favourite moment from the event, please do so in a separate thread!

This voting process will be open from Monday thru Friday, July 16 to 22.

Well, I'm gonna have to place my first vote ever for J.P. He consistantly throws himself into his characters, and it really pulls you into it. Same goes for combat as he brings out the best in a fight. It's really easy to get into the combat when going up against him. The little interactions that Garridan has with the king always leave me entertained especially since they share some similar attitudes. And it's not just the combat characters, when you look back at things like Brainy Smurf.

Just added the polling option.

Cheers!

I tried using the polling option.... kept saying submitted form was invalid....

Tough call for me between Andreas and Andy, best costumer vs. sneaky ninja hahaha

But alas I think I fell a lil in love with the drunk Colonel Stormcrest - such a troubled man!

Votes for Andreas this time around :shades: the RP brings SO much to it, but well done EVERYONE!

Yeah poll doesn't seem to work for me either.

my bad. Had the polling options set up wrong. It should work now.

I had to vote for Shannon, although Johnson's Jester and Mark's Fire Ant Tamer were very close (Not to mention the villan that approached the camp, replying "Kiss my ***!" when Mobius asked "Who goes there"). EDIT - I also wanted to add a 'nod' to the NPC who was one of the masked Biata that attacked and approached PC Biatas and said 'smells like kinsfolk', or whatever, and refrained from attacking us. I hadn't clued in that he was a biata until he did that to me and then I got around to get a GOOD look at his masked face to see the feathers, which prompted me to share the information I just got with Ithoughta. I *believe* that was Andreas but that's hard to be sure. It was just enough of a subtle hit that clued me into the deeper significance of the attack that might just have been missed otherwise.)

There are various reasons I voted for Shannon over the rest of what I said above, I loved how she reluctantly 'humoured' and played up with her slow-minded Jester brother. And when I saw the heart shaped stone on her bracelet, her reluctance to come along and saying how she didn't think it was what we were looking for, and it was a family heirloom, etc. tied in right to the character. After the King approved the point, she indicated "that might have been the best silver you ever spent." or something that was an impressive 'nod' to the way she played the character.

Later, I don't know if this was the same NPC or not, but the Weight Guesser was VERY well done. What I was impressed with here is the inflection in her voice. "I will write your *exact* weight", there was a sort of seductive way that she said 'exact' that really impressed me. Math and her shared a knowing smile after Math figured out the trick while Aengus was still trying to figure out how he could be tricked. Math eventually said "This is on the level, no way she can trick you" despite figuring out *exactly* what she was going to do. When Tess said "Ooh, do me next!"... Math hesitated, and confirmed with the gypsy that this was a silver bet, and ddecided that a silver wasn't a whole lot to lose, and so allowed the Gypsy to earn another silver with her clever ploy, after giving her another "I'm in on this, and I find this amusing" type of smirk (she gives them exactly what she says she's going to do. My lawful 'black' feathers here do not consider this a 'scam' and my white feathers find the subtle trickery humourous!)

Tess also immediately knew that this was the "Weight in gold" on the clue sheet, which Math did not, so props to her for figuring that out.

And I'm slow today I clicked on Andreas instead of JP. I need sleep. I almost passed out at work.

you should be able to change your vote. Again, I'll check the settings.

0_o I'm getting the invalid issue myself, but it was a really tough choice-everyone did quite well! My vote goes for our juggler Johnson, really brought up the festival rp for our team as he and Shannon bounced around.

Edit: So it's aware my vote's not submitted in the poll itself till I can figure out why it's giving me invalid >.>;

So unlike America this isn't a "Vote Early! Vote Often!"...darn. :whaa:

Right i have sent the squirrel with the ballet.

God! its so hard to choose!

So many moments of joy and interaction with all of you, its a very tough choice! but I have cast my vote for.....

I like how I went from a random gypsy to "girl for hire".

I have to give props to Jonson for his Jester/gypsy. some of the stuff he came up with was so brilliant and spontaneous i couldn't help but laugh. The first time I turned around and saw him riding one of the PC's I almost died. I love that he can do so much with whatever character he's given.

This was a tough vote, all of the NPCs had mixed roles that they jumped right into and made their own.

The thing that stood out for me was that I did not realise that the NPC playing both the Juggler and the gypsy card dealer were the same person until I read this thread. To envelope yourself in the personality of a character so completely that the people meeting your separate characters truly believe you are separate individuals is an amazing accomplishment.

Well done Johnson, you get my vote!

I'm late, but I'm also mentally slow. So, you know, it takes some time for me to get things :p
Abbey consistently steals the show for me on the NPC team, J.P. and Andreas are also always entertaining but I hart the inn keeper, so shifty...

Polls are closed, and Congrats to Shannon are in order! Thanks for the great effort at the July event!

My secretary, Cory, will settle up the bill with you....

:shades:
