July event questions

A smattering of questions about the event in 2 weeks:

I want to send in my prereg, but as the camp is not Millers I don't know if we will be in Crocevia Fatuae ... er, the Crossroads ... or not. This matters since I need to know if I get my workshop production or not.

It would also be nice if we're not in the Crossroads if there's any sort of plot backstory to find said backstory out, unless there is a plan to explain on site why everyone is where they are (if we're in the Crossroads then you can of course disregard this!).

Is the prereg deadline 1 week hence as I would assume it is?

Camp Sheppard is not in the "Site Info" section of the site. It would be great if a blurb could be put up about it, or, failing that, a sticky could be made in "Announcements" as to its location/directions/etc. -- I know there have been posts in here about it before but that's not helpful for new players etc. to know.

Finally, it would also be nice to know what the onsite accomodations are. Setting up cabin arrangements and such is difficult at the best of times, and forewarning is nice for this for OOG reasons as well as IG reasons. Will we have freedom to pick one of several cabins as we do at Millers, or will there be cabin assignments? Can we tent it if we want to? Are there limited numbers of cabins or limited space in each one?

Thanks

It will not be in the Crossroads, but the location will be revealed in game. at the sitel so you will need to go through a plot person before you get in game.

Working on getting directions up, as well as accomidations. Look for that in the next few days.

I will also look at the cabin situation.

Info about Sheppard:

Approx 8-10 heated cabins with 16-20 beds in the main area. Generally a picnic table or two up the middle. Double front doors (middle bar is removable), two back doors along VERY narrow "halls" made by the last two bunks and the wall. Loft area big enough for about 4-6 people to stretch out in. Stair cases are spiral, narrow, and steep.

Bathrooms, though if I recall, the showers are coin opperated.

Kitchen/lodge is not terribly large, some congestion with getting into the kitchen/mainroom/out the front door due to proximity and somewhat narrow hallway.

Gravel pathing between buildings. Not terribly well lit, but also has rails, so fairly easy to follow... but also easy to run in to.

Fire pit in a central location of the camp.

Many trails.

Large glade on backside of camp that can be used for tenting at. Will probably be used for some of the larger combats due to how open it is, so I could forsee camping there to be a bit of a problem. Other nooks and crannies as you can find them.

AFAIK, entire site rented for the duration with one small group coming through the area in the late morning/afternoon on Sunday.

"Bathrooms, though if I recall, the showers are coin opperated."

The showers weren't coin operated the last time I checked and that was within the last 8 months.
