The adventurers find themselves in a new land surrounded by unnatural mists. A mist that shrouds and separates different lands, but difficult and at times dangerous to travel. As they venture into the mist, they discover other lands, troubles, and beings. Shards of Arden are discovered by many; a crystallize fragment of pure magic. Many dream of power this shards will be used for, and yet so unaware of their cost, if any.
They find their town bare and lacking like the lands they are used to. Unprepared are they for what slept in the mists that now wakes. Unprepared for that comes with little warning, drawn by life and magic.
