I don't think it's been emphasized enough as it's only been a single gathering in Evodia, but for those traveling from beyond the mist still, when you arrive within the safety of the Capital, that is where the safety ends.

Once you venture from beyond the walls, Royalist, bandits, all sorts of ruffians lie and wait. The city is barely holding together, but if and when you do leave the walls, do not travel with less than 5 people. Be it to scout, or investigate someplace, keep an ear and eye to your surroundings.

Also something that should be mentioned for new adventurers to Erabella. There was a plague that is currently being investigated. No recent out breaks that we've found so far, but there was some undead that made people sick to come into contact with. It is extremely dangerous, so be very cautious when dealing with anyone outside of the city.
