If I have Item X that has the Flaw: Takes half damage from Flame. With the Effects 1/d Disarm - Expires in 2 years, 2/day Life - Expires in 1 Year.
I like the flaw on the item so when it comes down to the last month before the disarm expires I cast a preserved Expanded Enchant for a 5 year 1/d life item.
Does this keep the Flaw: Takes half damage from flame, on the item, as per this ruling? - http://www.alliancelarp.com/forum/viewt ... hilit=flaw
In addition, if I cast a normal Enchant on the item, so it is a 1/e Shield, since Evers never expire, would that still keep the flaw?

The ruling you quote has the direct answer to this question. As noted there:

"Flaws are applied to an item, not to specific rituals. Thus, so long as an item retains any rituals (and thus a Magic Item tag), all flaws on that item remain."
