Kid's Event - August 1-2 (*Pre-registration*)

Okay, here we go again! We had such a great time at the last event, so we're doing it again!!!

This kid's event begins Saturday, August 1st, at around 10:30 am (*mandatory orientation*). Please note that this is a change from the usual 11:00 am starting time. As always, people can arrive Friday night if they choose. The game ends around noon on Sunday, August 2nd.

The cost is $25 per person (adults and children). Adults who NPC full-time play for free. Here is a link to the payment website (click on the $25 "Kid's Event" button):

If you plan to attend, but do not register in advance via the website, the cost is $30 per person "at the door." If you are definitely coming to the event, but will not be pre-registering, please send me a PM or e-mail (IvnDrake@aol.com --- note no "a" in "Ivn") so that I can keep an accurate count of the attendees.

When registering, I need the child's name, character name (if known) and name of the adult responsible for them. In addition, please send me a PM or e-mail stating the child's age, character race and character skills. If you need help with the rules or character creation or skills or whatever, just send me a PM or e-mail (IvnDrake@aol.com --- note no "a" in "Ivn").

Lastly, I need NPCs! Please consider sharing the joy you get from the game with the kids!

I'll be there for sure, whether I will arrive friday or saturday is still a toss in the air but I will know soon as the event gets a little close. I am looking forward to entertaining these little endless bags of energy even further...oh wait I mean...Your Kids!

Who would have thought being ganged up on by little kids and getting owned by a little girl could be so awesome!!!

Since the site is being used this weekend by another LARP, the traditional props that are out during alliance events are packed away. This includes NPC camp, the Tavern Decorations, the Mages Guild, etc. I just wanted to remind you because I assume none of that will be set up when you get there.

If you intend to re-set up the mages guild be careful transporting the dresser. it is filled with breakable props and quite heavy. the light-rope for the circle is also packed in with the library because it is expensive, so I don't leave it out when other larps use the site.

if you don't need the mage's guild and want to leave it packed away until the lowbie event, that's cool, I'll set it up as always when i arrive on site. If you have any questions, contact me. Thanks!

there was also a full can of trash left in the logistics area from i assume the last kids event. we always empty the trash before we leave when we clean logistics after an event so animals don't come in and what not.
 
I will be attending with my little brother joey.

I will full time NPC (no caldron borns I promise).

Christine will play with joey.

If it is ok, we would like to use the mage's guild as the shop again. The kids were awed when they went in and werevery good about not touching what they shouldn't. One girl even asked to be my assisant! I was impressed with how well they remembered to be recognized in the circle and to not go in the room at all if I wasn't there. They would track me down to go shopping!
 
Orion Duffy will be playing Jacksen. I will not be attending but my sister Lynn Duffywill be accompanying him.

that's quite all right, someone will just need to get the dresseer full of props and the lightrope and set it all backup is all.
 
OK, technically, cut off for pre-registering was Sunday but since the kids don't really "pre-register" I guess we can continue accepting them for a few more days at least.

Where is everyone? The last kid's event was so packed. Are people coming this time?

I was planning on attending up until the past week or so. Due to scheduling at work + the kids just not really "getting it." I was excited about taking them up, but they kinda lost interest. Guess we'll wait and see how it works out next year.
 
We're not on the list... I don't know if Tab's done the pre-reg yet.

However, there will be 2 adults (1 NPC, one "tag-along with the PC kid adult") and 1 kid coming in our little troupe.
