Kid's Event (June 27-28) pre-registration CLOSED

Okay, I'm going to start a list of players (children) and the adults accompanying them. This event begins Saturday, June 27th, at 11:00 am (*mandatory orientation*), but people can arrive Friday night, if they choose. The game ends around noon on Sunday, June 28th.

The cost is $25 per person (adults and children). Adults who NPC full-time play for free. Mike Ventrella will add a $25 "Kid's Event" button on the payment website:

If you plan to attend, but do not register in advance via the website, the cost is $30 per person "at the door." If you are definitely coming to the event, but will not be pre-registering, please send me a PM or e-mail (IvnDrake@aol.com --- note no "a" in "Ivn") so that I can keep an accurate count of the attendees.

When registering, I need the child's name, character name (if known) and name of the adult responsible for them. In addition, please send me a PM or e-mail (IvnDrake@aol.com --- note no "a" in "Ivn") stating the child's age, character race and character skills. It is important that I have this information as I will be creating character cards for each child. If you need help with the rules or character creation or skills or whatever, just send me a PM or e-mail (IvnDrake@aol.com --- note no "a" in "Ivn").

Lastly, I need NPCs! Please consider sharing the joy you get from the game with the kids!

I am not sure who is more excited, me or the kids. Last year was a lot of fun. Come out and see the newest Generation of our game take hold.

Please NPC they are needed and you really will have a great time.

Pre-registration will end on Monday, June 22, at 11:59 pm. Anyone signing up for the event on Tuesday will have to pay the "at the door" price.

Okay, only a couple of weeks left until the event! Please let me know if you are interested in NPCing... we definitely need the help! And remember, NPCs get Gobbies and attend the event for free!

People who are planning to attend, please pre-register! We are purchasing some IG items for the kids, but we want to make sure that each kid gets an item, so I need to know if you are attending.

Lastly, those who are attending the event are welcome to come up on Friday night and hang out.

when/where can i get a list of thoese skills again, and are we going to be using some sort of a build system so the kids can levelup ? <--- A question directly from Gryffins mouth lol

Character Creation List
Kids choose two (2) weapon skills from the following list:
* weapon in right hand
* weapon in left hand
* shield
* staff or other two-handed weapon

Choose three (3) miscellaneous skills:
* Flame Bolt spell ("I call forth a flame bolt.")
* Pin spell ("With mystic force I pin you.")
* Healing spell ("I call upon the earth to heal your wounds.")
* Disarm (usable 3 times a day)
* Parry (usable 3 times a day)
* Extra Health (4 hits to fall instead of 3; this skill can only be taken once)
* Waylay (anywhere on the back)
* Find Traps / Open locks
* Dodge (usable 3 times a day)

There are three skills from each major class (spell-caster, fighter, rogue), so a child’s character could be all fighter or all wizard or a mix. The Flame Bolt spell does one "hit." If a child takes three hits of any kind (or 4 if they have the Extra Health skill), they fall to the ground and must remain unmoving until someone casts a Healing spell on them. Note that there is no death for the children.

Each child should arrive at the event with a completed “character card.” This is a 3”x5” card with the following information neatly printed on it:

Player’s Name
Player’s Parent / Guardian
Character’s Name
Character’s Skill

I was going to do the cards myself, but I don't know if I'll have time, so please have character cards for your kids.

Lastly, kids who attended last year's event can choose one (1) additional skill from the list above.

I have to go to the hospital for another kidney stone operation on the 23rd and may be there a few days... so we need to cut off pre-registrations by the 22nd at noon... if you pay after that I probably won't be on line to receive it.

I requested earlier to make it at noon, only because I have to get up at 3 freaking am to get to the hospital in Allentown by 5 am, so do not plan on being awake at midnight.
 
Would it be helpful to add me to the NPC list? I'd be delighted. Plans for this next weekend have fallen through, so I'm now available.

A carpool option would be handy, though, if anyone is passing through the Lehigh Valley area on the way up.

Figured I would post here. My Wife started a new job and we will not be able to make it to the event to help out. Hope you all have a blast. Looking forward to reading about it.
