Kitty needs place stay!

I be in town in couple weeks. Someone give me place stay? I need house and need place to put down all my things. They heavy. We not going to moth place again, right? I hope no, because I going to put down things. Back hurts, since I carry all things since moth place. Want to spend long time napping that weekend. No monsters. Only sleep and warm.

Time for winter-nap.

I am planning on renting a cabin from the lodge. If so, I will have a nice bed that you could use, if you like. Be prewarned though, I snore. :zz: If I get the cabin, I will attempt to get it warded so no monsters will bother you.
 
I dont really have any kind of...whats the word...position..authority, yes...To offer you a place to stay, but I maybe should warn you kitty, that if your hoping for a place without monsters, the Crossroads might not be the best of choices, and wards dont always stay up, so I'm told

Here there be monsters...

Here, the monsters wear the skins of men.

They live in the town, pretending from behind the thin facade of civilisation they are one of the races they mimic.

They look, and sometimes are, just like you and I.

I think you're safer in the woods than in a cabin, unfortunately.

Trust your instincts, and you should be fine.

Find or hire someone you can trust to store your possessions, and then find a nice den for yourself outside the town boundaries. I'd make a suggestion, but nobody springs to mind.

If you come into cabins, that's the first place the obvious monsters look.

It is also where the subtle monsters live.

. . . Okay, maybe you all no know me. I am Kitty? Not care about man-monsters or monster-mans, only about who has house to offer and who not? I have stay with adventurers many many times. Many many times have had good experience. Please not to tell me who or who not I know will be man-monsters. I make my own decisions about monster-mans. If you looking for someone to influence with talk of things like you say, you have wrong fox.
No one has reason to kill me. Most people seem like me. And if they want kill me, they will. No subtle monsters kill and stay subtle. That usually pretty not subtle way to say 'hey, I am monster.' Also, if I find den in woods, what to stop not-man-monsters from kill me? Or Man-monsters to kill if they find? Thank you for warning, but I do not need.
And Syndel, I know much about monsters in crossroad. I am COUNTING on monsters in crossroad. I have things to buy and not much coin to buy with. Hopefully they are undead type monster for I dust them fast. And they carry lot of coin with them.
Harlock, I thank for offer, but with such ears as I have, I listen even in sleep, and think maybe I will think you are dangerous in my dreams. I think I would not get rest. I will find house when I get into town I guess.

It is always good to hear from you. I may have a place where you can bunk while you're in the Crossroads if you are interested. We have stayed in the same cabin before and I do not recall you running into any serious issues with either monster-men or man-monsters there. Although there were some women-monsters; those Hags would certainly be in that category (it appears Trystan forgot about them!).

I assumed that because you were changed, you had skill in living in the wild.
The more you depend on others, the more screwed you are when they get held, slept, or charmed.

Well, it seems that you think since there have been no attacks on you before, there will be none. Shouldn't the same apply here? You found a space last time, why worry?

There are *people* subtle enough to kill you without anyone knowing... Monsters are even better at it.

You should pay more attention if you expect to live.
We are, after all, at war now.

You go tell some other fox how to live or do. Because you not know me or my ways, you no have right to come to my dreams and tell me how to live. I make own decisions. They are mine to make, and if they wrong, then I suffer. Do you blame your mistake on others if the bad happens because of desicion you make? I see no wrongness from staying with friends in warm rather than being lonely and cold in woods.
If you know so much about my kind as you let on, maybe you remember that we do not like being told what to do. Tell what to do your dogs and children, and leave the foxes out of it.

Brox have good barn for staying, it warm and comfy. much bed spot, much good hide spot. He have good place. Brox big he not have monster try and hurt him. You want good place, Brox think he have one. KBN person, it sound like you not know animal people, we know what bad people smell like, we tell who bad who not. We not need all looking out for us. Not nice try and tell what we should do. We not stupid, we survive good. We few, but strong few, have to be, survive is first nature. We few, we stick together. we help eachother when need. let people learn for self about other, thats how learn.

Survive is nature, and I stick with myself. I am best friend of me, since I am only person can depend on all the way. And how learn with no mistake? Always make mistake to learn something so will never make mistake again. Maybe I learn when I young to stay by friends and be much loyal. And if friends ever turn back on me, then maybe I be bitter and bossy like you. But so far, friends no turn back on me. So I still loyal to. Brox, we maybe talk together when I there.
