latex weapons

What are the rules on latex weapons? I want to make my own latex weapons but I don't want to put forth the effort and money to find out game day that I cannot use them. Any input (especially from a marshal) would be appreciated.

Striking surfaces must still have 5/8" closed cell foam for blades. Non-blade surfaces (such as the flat or hafts) must have a minimum 3/8" closed cell padding. Heads on weapons must still be sufficient to meet volume requirements.

All length requirements as listed in the book are correct, with the small correction that the inch gap has been removed and accredited to the lower size category (meaning 32.5" is a short weapon, etc.)

Thrusting tips are not required, however, you may not thrust with a weapon that does not have a thrusting tip, nor waylay with a weapon that does not have a waylay tip.

These are the general alliance-wide rules concerning latex weapons. I'm sure someone a bit more local can chime in with the local errata, if any.
