So Donnie Durango has 40 LCO rits on him, 20 on his Spirit. He visits a chapter that limits his LCO rits, so his spirit rits don't come with him.

During the event, he's hit with a Reverse Lifeforce. Does he call no effect?

Also, his weapon is normally 20 Rits, but for this event, no rits come with it. Is the entire weapon forbidden, or just the rits?
If the weapon is still legit, is it now shatterable? What happens if someone steals it and puts a Chaos aura on it?

Also, how do the above situations resolve at the end of the event?

At the time of taking the Reverse Lifeforce, he has no rits on his spirit, so he takes the effect. How the home chapter of the LCO rits deals with it after the event is up to them.

In general, items with rits that are not allowed in ought not be allowed in at all. But if a chapter chooses to allow in part of an item, it's more or less up to them on how deal with it (or the home chapter of the LCO rits after the event, as above).

If the person shows up and the awesome latex sword they brought has LCO rits in another place that aren't admissible here, I'd say it mysteriously resembles the other magical sword, but is distinctly different in terms of getting rituals added or destroyed or shattered.

If you don't get the benefits of using it, you don't get the dangers of losing it, either.

Agreed, they could repurpose the physrep with a new tag, but the "item" is not the one that they had in that other place.

Items are all or nothing when it comes to checking them in. I made that mistake once and was corrected.
