Leather Armour Thickness

So I'm making leather armor for my dwarven scout for the new Denver chapter and was wondering, if I riveted two peices of thinner leather together so that it is the thickness of 10 oz leather would it count as 2 point leather rather than 1? Thanks for the help.

In my chapter I would rule that it does count, but that is a question for your chapter's weapons/armor marshals. Cross-post this in the Denver chapter forum, and I'm sure the right person will see it and respond. :)

i believe that would be the same concept as scale mail... where leather is overlapped with more leather.... I have heard of other people gluing or riveting thinner pieces together to make it thicker for the same purpose as what you are trying to do and succeeded... so it should work.

So to more directly answer your question: definately maybe.

No, I'm just kidding. As long as it is measured by the Armor Marshal at the 10 oz thickness that you are working toward then you should get the two points that you wanted per armored area.
