looking for a new game to play a mmorpg anyone got any suggestions would prefer to go where others are
 
I'm sure some play WOW. I've just stuck with Guild Wars instead.
 
stopped playing wow a while ago can't find a good enough reason to go back to it, too much time to stay competative
 
I've been tooling around on DDO (dungeons and dragons online) myself, mainly because they went to a free to play model and that way I can just play when folks are about.
 
DDO is a good game. I've been playing it off and on (mainly on, but with a couple 3-6 month breaks to try other games) for the past 4 years. I have yet to find a game that can entertain me as well and for as long as DDO has.

Lol we've been playing on Cannith, send me a message when you make a character we'll add you to the Larper only guild we have going on (and we run a private vent server)
 
I play primarily on Sarlona, but that doesn't seem to be a good place to start for people fresh to the game I have recently heard. Apparently, there are a lot of not so nice people and a lot of non-english speaking players on Sarlona which makes it difficult for new players to learn the game.

I hear Cannith, Ghallanda, Khyber, and Orien are the best servers for new players, though. :)
 
We had a great time last night with just 4 folks (at a whooping level 4) running through things. On a side note, we've got someone who wants to play that is getting a 'no connectivity to the internet' error that seems to have no work around that I can find, anyone have an alternate place to download the client?
 
There are two ways to D/L. One is through the Turbine Download Manager (I advise against it) and the other is to download the full version. I can't access the links from work, but I think they are:

One of those two should allow you to actually download the content seperately from the TDM. I won't know which one until I get home, though... I believe it is the former.

Edit: According to this thread, it is the former.
 
fixed it ^^ it was trying to run in compatibility mode Anyway whats the name of the person I'm messaging in game? :D
 
I'm usually on as Jehyu or Togari, we generally play most tuesday nights and then, whenever people find time over the week (had a fun romp with 4 folks last sunday) Once we catch you on once we can add you to the Friends and Larpers guild we've made for just that occasion
